Not really what you would expect the 5A 100 meter state champ to look like

I ran for Central back in my day. The word Champion is not one I would use to describe by career. Ever.

If that guy is a freshman, he is going to be ridiculous in years to come.
He'll have his pick of colleges.

Not the kind of time I expected to see from the state champ at the highest classification. When I ran, a 10.66 wouldn't get you out of the district meet, and I ran in the Catholic League.

And exactly which make believe league did you run in? I want to see this district where a 10.66 isn't an impressive time

So in the last 3 years, that 10.66 time would be good enough to win 2 state championships and finish runner-up the other time

Early 1990s Catholic League with Carlos Jones, Desmond Johnson, Joe Sincere, and Jason Hirstius, among others. A 10.66 wouldn't have placed. I know from first hand experience. Oh, and at regionals, we had the top three out of those guys, plus Warrick Dunn and Kevin Franklin from Catholic.
