how do you correct a slice when driving a golf ball?

Keep your elbow straight and over-emphasize rolling/snapping with your wrists.

Iv tried this method and have ruined 2 or 3 drivers

Your swing plane and the club face at impact cause a slice. There's no quick fix. You have to change your swing path on the range.
ETA: But a couple of things you can do is point your left toe more inward at address (very small amount) and turn your left hand more so your glove emblem is pointed more toward the sky, than the target

Probably a more serious underlying condition then like shitty eye hand coordination.

You're gonna wanna use what is referred to in golf terms as a "strong left hand grip". Rotate your left hand inward as you grip your shaft. Also, position your left foot slightly forward so that you can get better positioning before going in for the shot.

And you have ruined 2-3 drivers by using that quick fix?

boy this thread title was misleading....
i had a problem slicing for a while, i closed my clubface a little and like someone else said i concentrated on snapping my wrists through the swing

Figure 1 shows him taking the club back way inside and then looping over and taking it down on the outside of the plane. This causes that left to right spin.
Figure 2 shows what it should look like. Same path back as through.

thnx....i know the technique i need but was curious if yall used certain type of drills

The best golf training tool I ever bought was a video camera. You can pick out all those little things you are doing wrong and immediately correct them.

Scoot back away from the ball 3 inches.
