Switzer's genius at work.
ONOZ he called the same play two times in a row. He's a terrible coach.
It was their bread and butter.

I don't have a problem with him calling the same play twice. It was the fact that he went for it on fourth down in his own 29 yard line with two minutes left in the game and the score tied at 17. Considering those circumstances, it was beyond stupid.

How do you have Billick over Gruden and Levy? He was an offensive coach and his offenses completely stunk the whole time he was in Baltimore. He was lucky to have such a great defensive staff and personnel IMO.

I would put Gruden #1. But his SB win came against a team that he built and knew what was coming the whole Time. Levy went to 4 sb's but STILL...... Billick's offenses were noy great but effective enough.

and won with a team he didn't build.

That doesn't mean as much because of who he was playing. If he would have beaten the Titans that year then I would upgrade him.

If you look at Gruden's tenure with Tampa and compare it to Billick's run in Baltimore, you'll have a hard time finding much of a difference.

gruden built L.A. into a winner for Christ's sake. lol. And yes the old man was senile by then.

a winner, yeah, but not a SB winner, which is why I would put Belidick over him.

Every coach Al Davis has ever hired has been a puppet and yes that includes Madden and Gruden.

I love when you guys play directly into my hands.
Levy is CLEARLY the best coach out of this bunch. Dude built a team and maintained success for an extended period of time. The other three, though they lucked into SB wins, did not.
Gruden had consecutive losing seasons after winning the SB. Switzer had a losing season within two seasons of winning the game. Billick bounced around both sides of .500 after winning.
NONE of them built the teams that they rode to the SB wins, and none of them sustained any long term success.
Levy built the Bills into a great team and had much more consistent success than all of those guys combined.
CONSISTENT success >>>>>>> Flash in the pan or boom/bust types.

I didn't fall into shite. If Levey had won just 1 sb he would be at the top without question. But yet he built a consistent team for a # of years that still FAILED when it mattered most!! GTFO out with that shite.

kinda like the Mavericks of the NBA. can put together great seasons, but when playoffs roll around, they get rolled over.

Did you read the first post? Where is Belichick's name mentioned among the four coaches named in the initial post?

In your little world, 4 games are more important than 182. OK.
So by your logic, one should be able to arbitrarily select 2% of a coach's resume in order to form an opinion of him. Let's select, say, Rich Kotite with the Eagles only (since I got my 2% from Levy's Buffalo days). 2% of Kotite's Philly career is 1.2 games. He swept a very good Saints team in 1992, so that's TWO wins, one in the playoffs, so by PJ logic, Kotite's a great coach because he had great wins in 2% of his games.
