I went to WOW Wings in Gonzales last night with some co-workers. One guy got 12 of the Buffalo III sauce, the hottest stuff they have there. After about 3, his eyes were watering and he was gasping for air. He seriously looked like he was going to pass out after about 9 or so. When he was done I asked him why he ate that and he replied "They're awesome! The spicier the better"

Seriously, why eat something that you have to fight to get down? I understand eating spicy food, but this seems ridiculous.

It's just like people with dogs that they think make them look "cool". It's funny really...

I don't know what it is. There is a place here in Nashville called Prince's Hot Chicken, and the first time I went there I was in intense pain. But there is something about it that keeps you going back for more.

I really like spicy food, but I also enjoy taking non-painful trips to the bathroom.

I really would hope people don't order foods based on what will make them look "cool". I just really really like spicy food that brings me to tears. Don't know why, but I just do.

I see people order wings that are too hot for them all the time. Sometimes they can't even finish them. I understand some people like hot food, but some people take it too far just so that they can say they had the hottest wings and this place and that place

The insane hot spicy stuff is just being silly. It is almost impossible to taste anything.

I do like when someone over spices the crawfish boil which means more for me.

I'm kinda the same way... the spicier the better. Don't know why I like it that way.

Don't get me wrong, I like spicy. But people who automatically order the hottest wings at a joint are retarded. They never actually enjoy it, only endure it, so that they can say they did.

I like flavor, but I do not care to kill myself eating something. My friend will order Fire in the Hole wings at Pluckers and there's no way he likes the way they "taste". If you touch the sauce and lick your finger, you burn for 10 minutes. It's not a flavor.

I'm honestly a lightweight when it comes to hot food.

I remember when Sheriff Harry Lee was quoted in the Times Picayune as saying that Latinos and Blacks had a natural resistance to pepper spray because of all the spicy food they eat.

In my mind, I always pictured some Mexican guy getting sprayed, and opening his mouth wide going "Mmmmmmmmmmmm" *smack* *smack* *smack*

I love spicy food, of all different sorts...I like to try it all, especially stuff that is really spicy that has really good flavor..

As far as wings go, I always at least like to try the hottest sauces that places offer, just to see how they rank up against each other..

There is a place here in Murfreesboro, TN (Duggers) that has a wing challenge, I got to try some of the sauce on a toothpick, and just that had me sweating.

I do love the hot mustard at Chinese restaurants. Love that burn you get in the nose. But, as hot as that stuff is, you still can taste the food and the flavor of the mustard.

Anything much hotter than that and it is just wasted food and money.

Although I do agree that SOMETIMES it is fun just to try the hottest wings. And since this isn't man vs food, at least you can drink while you eat.

I got the Pepper Chicken one night at a restaurant in Belaire China Town, Houston. I thought it was going to be bell pepper.. instead it was jalapeno. I thought.. ok, i'll give it a shot. I just ate the chicken and my mouth and tongue were so burned I couldn't drink enough water. It was the most miserable dining experience ever.

If you need any other info on local grub, let me know. If you are gonna be around for Saturday, get ready, we are supposed to have a round of storms passing through..Hopefully it won't be like the last years F4 tornado we had...

I disagree, the fire in the hole wings have a great flavor, unlike most places very hot wings.
