This coming season both LSU and Alabama have bye weeks before playing each other. But Alabama and Tricky Nicky are crying about how many teams have byes before playing them and of course, now the SEC is looking at re-arranging the entire SEC schedule to accommodate them. Of course they are, the SEC office is, after all, in Alabama. Alabama had a bye week last year before playing us. This year their bye week should be moved, not ours! I hope LSU insists on no change in our bye week before playing them considering that Alabama had the bye last year prior to playing us.

yeah make them pay us $1,000,000 if they want to change the schedule (Crowton's payout)

If you look at the previous few years, Alabama really has had an unbalanced amount of teams having bye weeks before they play Alabama. Having said that, frick 'em. I'll be pissed if they end up with a bye before our game this year and ours gets moved.

Yeah legitiment gripe, but not our problem, how many years in a row are they gonna get a bye week before us? We should be the last team that has to change

Yep. I thought at least one other SEC school had a bye week before playing us last year as well.

Did it hurt bama last year? the last ten years we have faced a lot of teams, florida, bama, ole miss, auburn, kentucky, ect coming off a bye week.

Plain and simple, if your better than the other team, it doesn't matter.

if your having to worry about teams like vandy, miss st., ky (on most year), ole miss (most years) having a bye week, then your program isn't where you want it to be.

line up and play ball, quit making excuses.

if you have to turn in an assigment in one week but the other person get to have two weeks to turn it in...who would have the advantage?

I don't see much of a difference between playing a cupcake and having a bye week before a big SEC opponent... and besides the SEC only controls the 8 SEC games on your schedule... the bye week and four ooc opponents are up to the school

So, if you want down time before a big opponent then schedule a patsy or a bye week then... if you don't then don't

Schedules are hard enough to make without worrying about this kind of crap

I think Alabama would enjoy their bye week being moved, since for the second straight year Alabama has to play five SEC games in five weeks (and the last four teams in that stretch have byes before playing Alabama) before they finally get their bye in week 9. In the last decade only four teams have had to play five conference games in five weeks, three times its been Alabama.
