Walcott was matched against Maxwell i believe

ah. well, either way. Walcott is generally well used to burn passed tired players, e.g. his assist 2 years ago vs. liverpool: LINK

How often do they not concede without Pique and their Captain back to anchor the back line

Milito can step in very well. I guess they can put marquez in as well. Although marquez isn't exactly my favorite

Iniesta may be back for the next leg.

I pray that at least Arshavin will be fit.

'm right off the square. You ever go to Fado in Buckhead? I've never been there for a CL match but I know its packed out on Saturday mornings for EPL and big national team games. Great Irish food too.

I will certainly have to check it out. Hopefully for the next feature of this draw. It is only a 2o minute drive, so I'd be only hurting myself not making the trip.

Although, I don't know how much food I will be eating come match days.

I would have loved to see that, wouldn't expect anything less from chelsea

Dani Alves probably would have gone too, regardless his place on the pitch.

I mean ... frick ... we got the tie, but
1) Fabregas looks gimped as frick
2) Gallas almost had to be carted off
3) Arshavin was crocked enough to leave within 25 minutes not good for this weekend vs. Spurs

pretty sure Fab will be good to go.

Gallas, most likely not which is a huge blow.

Arshavin, I think he will be fine.

I'd rathre the goal scorers be available for Spurs than defenders to be honest. I think Arsenal can get away without Gallas, because he has been missing for an extended period of time as it is.

I think Nasty Nas and Beowulf will be able to take the burden on their shoulders

I hate to harp on it, but I said the Arsenal flanks would be the catalyst, and sure enough they were.

Eboue for sure needs to be featured, his pace certainly caught Barca on the counters. Walcott, I agree should be used as a sub, but much earlier. Say the 66th minute mark...

Moving Nasri from the opposite flank to the center hurts big time, but IF, and that is a huge if, Arshavin is match fit then that injury position change will not be a monumental drop off.

All in all, I believe Barca losing BOTH center backs >>>> far outweighs Arsenal losing Fabregas.

That is due to Arsenal being able to slide Nasri into center, and him actually having recent CL experience playing in the center. Where as, Barca really, no matter what is said, cant replace their stud center backs.

I am sort of in the same vein. Although, I don't believe they will do the scoring, I believe that Rosicky and Walcott will be enough to replace the wing mid roles.

Call me crazy (and I'm obviously biased so no need to call me that...haha) but I think the ref was forced to show red to Puyol there. He denied him a clear goal-scoring opportunity. Text-book red. Harsh on Puyol, but the call is cut and dry.
