Zapps Beer Fest
Who is going this year? It's at the Rural Life Center on Essen. I have been the last 3 years and have throughly enjoyed everyone. The selection of home brewers has grown every year. I am looking forward to this year, I just hope the weather stays nice. 30% chance of rain Saturday.
To all my fellow beer lovers in BR this is a must attend event

I think it lasts only a few hours. Is it enough time?

No your major players are their in full force. Mockler Beverage, Abita, Heiner Brau, St. Arnolds, Lazy Magnolia. The happy and roux house girls were serving about 10 different flavors of Leinekugals last year. I was saying every year their are more than the previous year. Red Schtick brewers comes to mind.

It's from 3:30 until 6 but they usually let people in early and stay until all the beer is gone. I am usually well lit by the time we leave.

No shite, we have a very long summer until football season the least they could do is put them on different weekends so we have more to do

Top of the Hops is far better. More beer, and bigger place. Nola Brewing and Stone probably won't even go to Zapps. Top of The Hops will also be drawing home breweres from other states on the gulf coast.

Isn't this the first time they are doing this one? Maybe it isn't better.

I went a few years ago and had a blast. Got really smashed and came home with tons of free coozies.

Their beers should be represented by the distributors. The brewery is not going to be at either. Unless the brewery is located in LA, MS, or TX the brewery representatives will not be at either beerfest, unless for some crazy reason. The list of "breweries" is the list that the distributor is bringing.
