You do realize those rooms had/have asbestos in them right?
My dad lived there in the 40s. He's 87 now and no lung problems. Guess he was just lucky. I love looking through his old Gumbos.
I lived in the Stadium dorms for the four years I was a student, with no ill effects.

Tell you what, looking at those pictures makes me realize how much I take the awesomness of that stadium for granted when I walk past it everyday.
Awesome, YES!
But, it's a damn shame that the Delicate Genius's (LSUAD) have let that historical structure become so run down and neglected. We all know what TS needs, but year after year we only get "Promises of renovation" and "Wait till next year" while all the other S.E.C. Big Boys actually renovate and/or expand their stadiums. ......

quote:I lived there in the fall of '86. It was pretty rough, but I'm very glad I did. I was kinda cool then in a novel sort of way, but its much cooler now being able to say that I lived in Tiger Stadium, for one semester that is before whimping out and moving over to the 'lush' Pentagon dorms.

Typical rantard. You do know what we added the new East Upper including suites and then took down the old West Upper and put up the new West Upper with the Stadium Club? Capacity with from 80k to 92k.

Even if tiger stadium went under renovations, we would just have to wait ten more years for it anyway
