The first starter that we've lost from our first championship team. Thanks for all you've done for NO and the Saints. You left me in KC and now NO. You gotta quit doing this to me buddy.
edt: and no I'm not counting Grant as a starter.

Definitely, thanks for everything. Great memories, especially the lines to Manning in the Super Bowl.

"I can eat oreos faster than you"
Now I have to find a new OLB to play with on madden!!

He really stepped up for us in 2006 when we had no other viable options. I will always remember his big stop on Bryan Westbrook inside the 5 that helped get us to our first NFCCG. Since I'm on a roll with bringing out all these pics, heres some of Fujita yall might like....
Who would have thought that Scott Shanle would have been the last man standing from the all-white Saints LB Corps?

I am not gunna say I didnt like Fujita because I did but for him to have gone the Browns probably put out a lot of money so while I am thankful for what he did now we can upgrade the SOLB position in the draft or through FA at least we can now sign a FA

first post Katrina FA signing, right?
He'll go down as one of my all time favorites.
that being said he's been pretty banged up the past few years so I'm glad the browns are giving him his last big pay day.

That was an awesome play. I remember thinking at the time that it had been a long time since I saw a Saints LB actually "make" a play like that when it counted.

Yea, they asked him why he would leave a contender like Dallas for a ravaged city that had never been a contender and he simply said, "I think this could be about more than football". Since then, Payton made him the Walter Payton award winner and he has been involved in more charities than you could name. He did a lot for this city and team, good luck Fooj

Yeah that was my first playoff game I ever went to and he made the stop in my corner of the end zone and I was like 8 rows up. I'll literally, never forget that shite. Fujita, Simoneau, Brees, Deuce, and a couple others heard we all stayed in the Dome for like an hour after the game and they came back out just to shake all of our hands.

for anyone that didnt read the paper this morning, he is giving half of his 82K earned in playoff bonuses to charities, including $20K to coastal erosion of Louisiana
also said how he is a new orleanian for good....but obviously there was no hint of him signing with cleveland when it was written
