Typical jealous poster... You have nothing to do with paying the salary of coach Miles and don't have a clue as to what it takes to run a successfull program. Why do you care what kind of contract he has?

What does Miles bring to the table as far as a head coach? He doesn't really coach the offensive line and has to hire expensive coordinators. The players don't respect him at all, and that worries me 10x more than the downward trend.
This proves you don't know what the frick you are talking about. Miles does coach. Maybe if you ever attended a practice instead of just talking out of your arse, you wouldn't like a total dumbass. Also, the players love him. Strike two...

Here's my thoughts on all this:

It's been three months+ since the end of the last football season. Everything that can be said, bad or good, has most probably been said. And more than once.

Give me a break already! Spring training is here. The Tigers are prepping for a new season already.

Enough about last year. Support this year's team. Let them know you're behind them. They'll be stronger in their hearts and minds if they know that true Tiger fans will root for them through thick and thin.

Yeah he has no respect from any of his players...that is why he finished with a top class last year, top ten this year, and top class again next year. yeah, sounds like he doesn't have any respect from players.

did you watch any games this past season? exactly what games were you impressed with (except Auburn)?

Washington - opening game/unimpressive
Vanderbilt - sloppy game/unimpressive
ULL - joke...still looked shitty
Miss. St. - thank you Chad Jones/outcoached
Georgia - thank you Charles Scott/another time management blunder at halftime
Florida - couldn't score 6 against totally vanilla gameplan
Tulane - gimmie a break/joke
Alabama - decent game/will NOT outcoach Saban
La. Tech - totally outcoached/looked like complete shite
Ole Miss - DO I REALLY NEED TO GO HERE?!
Arkansas - blew a 14 pt. lead/had to score late to put into ot against unranked underdog
Penn St. - played on same sloppy field PSU did/unprepared and outcoached with yet another time management gem

Les Miles is an inferior coach with superior talent. the team looked unprepared and outcoached all season and had to limp to several victories. the guy will not outcoach anyone. btw...in 2005-2007, he had the luxury of inheriting the most talent in LSU history. also, the 2005 team was much different than the 2004 team, so don't say he coached Saban's players better than Saban did.

Just curious, how old are you Dunbarton?

You sound a lot like my father, always bringing up age & youth in every discussion.

44....just saying that is what we have in the lsu fanbase now...young people who think you should win bcs games every single year, or the really unintelligent/uneducated that are basically bandwagon and just don't know any better. I'm not old, not young...but have been through the good and bad times at LSU. I have a good idea when coaching sux, or when there are things outside a coaches reign that are leading to a few losses. I am not a saban hater at all, but neither do i think he is some great coach. He's had a couple good years in his entire 25 year coaching career. So has miles. Now the Bear, he was special. Saban is no bear. Just hate to see our fanbase turn to be like fans of alabama and michigan, but we are already there. The constand second-guessing, booing a backup qb in a close game, leaving at halftime- Thing have changed for the worse at LSU due to their success. It used to be a awesome place to party for a game. Now, it's still fun, but the haters have put a damper on everything.

First...if LSU does great this year, i'll be excited as hell and eat crow all day and night. second...IMO, Saban is no question a better coach than Miles. you don't exactly have to be blinded by Miles' love to figure that one out...like yourself. thinking one coach is better than another may qualify for giving another man a blow job in your book, but not mine....it's just not for me, but to each his own.

i'm only a handful of years younger than you and remember every coach after Cholly Mac, so i vividly remember the down years. you talk about trends???? if you can't see a downward trend of shitty football currently taking place, then you're the frickin stupid one. BTW...in 2005, the number 1 freaking pick NFL was a maturing sophmore and was vastly improved from his freshman year, under Saban's previous offensive coordinator. under your expert analysis, wasn't 2002 and 2003 essentially the same team????

p.s. i'm not a Saban lover or Miles hater. i just personally believe Miles is masking his inability to coach with assistants and talent. 2009 was the first season he was exposed. i even gave him a pass in 2008 because of the horrible defense. in 2009 (specifically Ole Miss), he lost me. AGAIN, if he turns it around, i'll admittedly be proved wrong. i have no faith in the guy after witnessing moronic mistake after moronic mistake. sorry to hurt Milestown cult members feelings with my observations and opinions.

its debateable that he didnt "bring" anything...he just let it ride...you know the other guy brought it and built it...kinda doing the same with another team...

the "other guy" didn't coach the team to a BCS NC, Les Miles did, there is no debate

So you don't think Saban is a great college coach and you're the one calling us unintelligent?

quote:

You probably still think the 1 second at the end of the game made a difference. It didn't. Nothing at that point would have changed the outcome, whether spike it, throw it, run it, kick it....etc...but you are too stupid to rationally understand that.

I think you are the stupid one in this situation. Despite the fact that a team we were more talented than dominated us for 60 minutes, we still had a chance to win. That was until playcalling took us out of field goal range and then we let 19 seconds run off before calling a timeout. That's some good coaching right there . BTW, teams have kicked a field goal in the same exact situation before. The team now practices it a couple times a week (or at least did up until the bowl game).

quote:

Seriously, LSU does not need fans like you who are not loyal and don't show support.

I think I went to every game and actually defended Miles up until the Ole Miss game. There is a difference between raising questions and blindly following.

quote:

Don't be a jother fricking bandwagon fan and IF lsu has a great year then all of the sudden all is forgiven.

i think i already said that I believe LSU wins the West this year.

quote:

understand that qb is HUGE in wins and losses in the SEC, and be thankful for a 9-4 record.

Of course a QB is huge. Who did LSU beat that was a good team over the last 2 years though? We are 1-8 vs. the top 25 the last 2 seasons. We've beaten NOBODY worth a damn and were blown out twice in the SEC. Have we blown out a good SEC team under Miles?

I guess spending the limited funds i have as a student to go to every single road game and bowl game makes me a bandwagon fan though.

it eans that mccluster was only used properly the last portion of the season. Prior to that they were trying to put it all on snead and he failed miserably. When they started using Mccluster properly they were much better offensively. Maybe you didn't catch on to that during the regular season.

you're like a cool breeze on a sunny day.

I hear these experts talk about the TREND at LSU and the direction of the program etc....what a joke. I guess USC and Oklahoma are also done too right given their trends? I guess florida was done in 2007 given their 9-4 recrod with tebow right?

'these experts' don't care about the reality of sport...they have their anti-Miles agenda and would rather see LSU lose big just so they could stand on their soapbox and screech how right they were.

quote:

Whether i like or dislike les miles is irrelevant. He has shown he can win at the highest level with three top 5's and a NC, and I am confident he will again.

no it just makes you a young kid who has no real clue about the ups and downs of college football. You will learn soon enough though. Allyou have seen is LSU having great success, and then suddenly they go 8-5 and 9-4 and the coach is a moron, can't coach, etc. You will be wishing for a 9-4 season more than once during your lifetime but unfortunately you have no experience yet to understand that. Saban is a good coach. He has 2 top 5's in 25 years. Miles is a good coach. As I have stated, there are two kinds of fans lsu does not need. The young educated ones that are educated but are haters and do not understand that no team wins on top every year...or there is the older uneducated. You say you expect LSU to win the west? How? Our coach is a complete moron, our qb sux, we have unproven lineman and rb's...our DL and Lb's are unproven...and alabama has saban and all that talent he has recruited in three years. You don't make sense. Saban is great, miles sux, alabama has talent, yet you expect miles to win the west this year. Wow. Like I said, young and inexperienced.
