To all the LP people who worship this kid and said we were stupid for letting him go. You claimed he was a starter at OU this year. He has barely seen the field in mop up duty with only 2 AB through 4 games. Yet he would be our best hitter this year according to some on here.

Please explain.

I remember that thread. Some guy that was his boy-hood pal was all on here making him out to be the next great balla on the diamond and saying LSU really missed out. Wonder where that guy is now.

Some folks were scared this was another J.T. Wise situation.

It's going to be interesting to see if maybe Oklahoma and LSU both make it to the CWS and maybe have a chance to meet. Now thats some College Baseball Drama lol

The college baseball world is on pins and needles in anticipation of this great matchup.

Wise wasn't a good fit here. He was an arse and Manieri thought he would be better off somewhere else. I think we are plenty well stocked and Manieri knew it.

Totally different case with Wise. He had the talent but fell in love with a hot chick while here, gave her a promise ring, and quit caring about baseball. He needed a different setting to remember how to play again. You hate to see someone with all that talent leave but it didn't hurt us in the end.

Anyone know where Jared Bogony is at these days? His dad told me he would be the best player ever at LSU. He lied.

jared could've been really good as long as going to class and passing a drug test were not a prerequisite

Jared Bogany had all the tools to be a great outfielder, but poor coaching in his first year luled him to sleep in his work ethnic. He literally didn't want to put up with what Mainieri wanted him to do to improve as a player so he left.

I don't think Cody is better than the guys we have now. Can he play? Clearly he can but Coach M just won a NC so clearley the man knows what he is doing. Being from Walker I always like to see kids from there succeed at LSU or anywhere but I am not gonna cry foul when it does not work out. GL to Cody at OU!

Said it then and say it now! I trust CM to make the right choices to keep us on top. Been a Tiger since birth, didn't move to Walker till I was 5.

Well, that one guy DID say Reine would be a starter, and he is NOT a starter, so I think the OP has grounds to call the Reine lovers out...

What does the outfield situation have to do with JT Wise? He primarily played third base at LSU and went on the become a damn fine catcher at OU.

I have known Cody since he was 10 yrs old. He was a good player and his dad decided to get him with Leo Mclure who is a great coach but a slime ball as a person. If you spend the money that his dad spent to get his son to become a great prospect you expect more but coaching can only take one so far! I think he could have a decent college career if he went to Southeastern in Hammond

Played football with him at walker... Lsu didn't miss out on much with him... On the other hand toderick Stevenson, (our team mate) would have been a great contrabution... He got in some trouble and lost his scholorahip with lsu but he was good a great baseball player and one of the best football players(right behind Chris Hawkins)
