Lifeboat is great, probably Top 5 Hitchcock, but in no way does it comes close to his epic masterpieces like Vertigo and Rope.

I liked Rear Window the best. Lots of spinoffs and remakes have been made. I think Disturbia was loosely based off of it.

I don't know about by far, except I too consider it one of the greatest films ever made.

Notorious, Rear Window and NxNW come close. Heck, even Rope is held in high regard (as it should be).
