Drive east to Sal and Judy's for dinner...get reservations first. Grab breakfast ,brunch or lunch at The Broken Egg in town.

Juniper in Mandeville for a nice dinner. Megumi for sushi. I haven't been to the Lake House. Rips has a good view and awful food/service. Oak and Barley is great for light snacks and an incredible selection of beer. LaProvence is just outside of Mandeville towards Lacombe and is probably the best fine dining option.

I find Nuvolari's and Sal and Judy's all to be vastly overrated yet popular. If you want great Italian head to Del Porto in Covington (I do like Bosco's muffs though).

What are you looking to eat?

Sushi - Megumi on Hwy 22
Hibachi - Osaka on 190 or Osaka 21 on La 21
Seafood - Morton's, Lake House (never been though), Coffee's
Steak - Keith Young's, Gallagher's Grill

Other good ones - Boston Food & Spirits, NTini's, Bear's, Times, Isabella's

Broken Egg = very overrated. 2 of the best places with the best views would be Lake House and Rips. Both on the lakefront and if you are going today, it would be incredible with this weather

Apart from those two, Coffee's Boiling pot is a dive in Madisonville but the food is great. Keith Youngs Steakhouse is amazing but pricey. Lil Tokyo for sushi, N'Tinis near Pelican Athletic Club is a upscale nice restaurant with great food as well.

Thai Spice is pretty good, though I guess it's technically in Covington.

The best restaurant in Mandeville...hands down is Juniper.

Other Hits:

Sake Garden
Gio's Villa Vancheri
Bosco's
Nuvolari's
Keith Young's
Del Porto
Dakota
Megumi

Misses:

Morton's
Friend's
Rip's

What's sad is two places with INCREDIBLE views are terrible.

I try to only say good things about good restaurants...I TRY, one of these plases we won't go back to because of the drunk owner at the bar all the times talks shite about the patrons. Its seems that you are only welcome if you are part of the "in" crowd. So we just stopped going.
Mortons and Friends I can put up with marginal food BECAUSE of the view.
