Sammys according to most reviews. I never buy boiled crawfish. I catch and boil all I eat.

The best is when you cook them yourself. Tony's is good on Plank and Walk On's does a decent job on Coursey.

WHAT?

lol...place is so good, but I would definitely try and give them a call before I go over there.

Honestly, Best quality and taste consistently in BR is Sammy's on Highland. Brightside bar and grill does a pretty good job, but I've gotten some small ones there. Walkons I won't do again. I've have gotten them there 4 or 5 times and have only been good once.

Couvilles across the river in Port Allen is the most consistently cheap live spillway crawfish.

I like Tony's but I'm not driving 15-20 minutes each way(essen area) to pick up a couple sacks of crawfish if I don't have to. You can usually find cheaper. They run out all the time, and they aren't getting any more selects or 1's and 2's than anybody else.
But, on that note, there aren't that many Low cost seafood shops in the middle of town around the College/Essen/Bluebonnet area that I know of.

15-20 mins for "a couple sacks" is totally worth it. Stop being a fricking lazy bastard.

I like a medium crawfish anyway... Juicier and more tender meat.. I like Tonys bc they are consistent... Seasoned fairly well... Not as spicy as my own but can't complain... they are CLEAN (no grit)... And they peel great EVERYTIME... The last two things I mention is what most other boilers fail to accomplish

Blow me. I live 2 blocks from Sammy's 2 miles from brightside, 2 miles from Country Corner. Why would I drive to Tony's. Why would anybody from this side of town drive that far I don't know. Too many other Boiled bug options.

Afro- Have you tried heads and tails? Not as good as Tony's, but it is ok and it is really close to Essen. Also City cafe is pretty good at Siegen and Perkins.
