US has no shot at a medal, sadly.

I do not understand what the US was doing when making this team. Did they just go young and try to treat this as a warm up event? Is Drury even on this team?

Preaching to the choir.

Drury is on the team, I believe he's the only "old" guy. I feel like another guy like Modano or Tkachuck should be on it, if nothing else but the leadership (though I do understand why they're not).

And RJ Umberger not on the team's a joke. The fact that it's because Burke still has a grudge over a contract dispute from nearly 10 years ago makes the matter even more hilarious.

Yeah, but Norway's not gonna medal, so...

Russia, Canada, Sweden, Finland should be the favorites, and then maybe teams like the Czech Republic and US as sleepers, as the posts above have mentioned.

Tkachuck had to be on this team or Guerrin.

I think having JR around in camp would have given them direction.

I don't know much about hockey but this is the only time I ever watch hockey. I could never stand it on tv and then went to some tacoma sabercats games (wchl) years ago (they have since moved) and admit I love it in person and have since watched the usa play in the olympics.

Who are the favorites to place?

I'd love to see Crosby and Ovechkin face off in this tournament, doesn't look like Canada will face Russia until the medal round though.

Is there anyone on the US team this year that was on the '02 team that got silver?
