I watched that game while attending college in Texas. I got a migraine from being so worned out. That game was live. I wish we had a CJ type player again. We might not see that type of show in the PMAC again in my lifetime. I felt like CJ became brainwashed later in life, but that kid had heart to struggle with Tourette's syndrome and making his morning classes.

Crazy thing about that game; each team was shooting less than 35% from the field 10 minutes into the game, but it was like 31-28.

Remember watching that game. Remember Jeff Fryer for LMU just pulling up and firing threes after barely crossing midcourt. That and the G'town game were two of the most amazing college games I have seen.

I love that Game. I was like 16 yrs old, I think it was the game that really got me liking basketball.

Days before the game, The Big talk about this Game was can LSU keep up with Marymount pace.

I think Shaq had like 30 rebounds and had like 15 blocks, Can't really remember but he was on fire.

Great game, I remember it well.

I think Dave Moorman said it best in the advocate the next morning.

The net could have been called for delay of game

I loved watching Loyola Marymount during that tourney run. Paul Westhead's teams were a scoring machine. He did not seem to have that same kind of success at George Mason Univ. but that would be something to have fans get excited about.

Back in the day, I ordered one of Coach Westhead's books on running the fastbreak. This was when he was at GMU. The conditioning that his players went through was crazy. The guys were basically track guys who were running sprints and shuttle runs. Guys could run 4 1/2 to 5 minute miles. That would be wicked if our players could run and gun it at LSU but our guys right now have trouble making shots just standing in one place at a time. However, LSU will return in basketball under Coach Johnson. I truly believe that with all of my heart.

I was there

To prove it, I have this game on VHS and everytime they went to commercial they zoomed in on me holding up a homemade broadcaster sign (can't remember the network)

That was a fun time to see games..this was like 3 weeks after another shoot-out with UNLV.

I remember that game well. In the advocate story that morning Dale said he told the team there was no game plan. but just to go out and have fun, no one would have ever guessed that LSU with the big men they had could run with ULM. I watched on tv but I bet that was the loudest game in PMAC history. the crowd was completely insane.

Was half-way around the world from BR at the time but watched the game with a bunch of yankees and foreigners. They were all pulling for LM at the beginning. By the end of the game there were several CJ and Shaq fans amongst the group. Helluva game.

I was at that game with a couple of my buddies. BY FAR the most entertaining basketball game I have ever seen. I remember wanting to punch Per Stumer in the face. I hated that dude.

Check out the ridiculous stats in the box score.
