Worst of the series. I somewhat enjoyed Salvation but only because I knew exactly what I was getting

Not as bad as 3 (what a pile of shite that was) but not in the same league as 2 or 1.

I thought this one sucked.
Doesn't fit in the timeline, plot is stupid and Bale is terrible in this movie.

You're both thinking of Terminator: Salvation. Rise of the Machines is T3. I've watched about half of Salvation, and plan on watching the other half today, but so far it's far better than T3.

Salvation >>>>> Rise of the Machines IMO.
Not saying Salvation is a great movie, but Machines was very lacking for me. The production value wasn't on par with the other Terminator movies and the story was basically just a rehash of T2.

3 is Rise of the Machines. T3 gets alot of crap which I don't think is quite deserved. Yeah its not as good as the first 2 are (which are still amazing to this day), but on its own it is not a bad film. T4 though is just bad. Another thing that pisses me off is they revealed absolutely everything in the trailer.

Personally, I didn't think that the original Terminator was all that. T2 is far and away the best in the series, but I thought Salvation was more entertaining than T1.

What?!? The Terminator was made in 1983 (released in 84). It's a classic and just fricking awesome. Great effects for 1983.

If I had seen it in 1983, I would have thought the same, but I didn't see it until 2009 so I was like meh. Good lead in story though.

Just finished Salvation. I guess I can see why people hate on the movie but I enjoyed and didn't think it was that bad. I also went in with pretty low expectations. Not T1 or T2 quality, but really it's a different kind of movie than the previous terminator movies.
Bale made a so-so John Conner, but damn Anton Yelchin made a fantastic young Kyle Reese.
