best fountain drink you've ever had?

Some people will understand this, some won't. I find that some fountain drinks are better than others. My best was a diet coke in some small Arkansas mexican restaurant. It was served in one of those typical mexican, tall, red, coke cups.
Second goes to white castle in indiana diet coke. Third goes to cane's on highland diet coke after a football game.

Could just be the whole experience, but I love the coke at the Varsity in ATL.
On a side note, American Sector make their own soft drinks...very, very good (albeit a little pricey).

I know EXACTLY what you mean. My friends think I'm insane. I can't drink a soft drink from a plastic bottle unless I'm desperate. I stop at gas stations to get fountain drinks because I love them so much.
Diet coke is my all time favorite fountain drink. I really like it in some restaurants, but I honestly can't think of which ones right now.
I do LOVE Pepsi from Taco Bell. I sometimes go to Taco Bell for Pepsi even if I got food from somewhere else.

I MUCH prefer a very cold 20 oz plastic bottle diet coke over fountain drinks because I don't like the waterd down taste.

OK Indy...I will play the date myself game.....I am an old man and enjoyed a good vanilla phosphate at a true soda fountain....cherry phosphate was ok but vanilla was my fav....alas, woolworth is gone along with dearmans...and I'm sure no one knows how to make the magic elixure any more.
