I'm sure Archie is heartbroken over that Kafka. Is that any way to pay back a former Saints great?

if T-Bob was starting for the Colts Bobby would not be rooting for the Saints

Archie gets too much hate around here. He's doing what any father would do.
That said, Archie shouldn't really be talked about anymore, it's really irrelevant to anything the Saints are trying to accomplish.

true.
Archie represents the old, awkward, crusty, boring, bumbling Saints. He smells of high society, exclusivity, and privilege.
Bobby is the new face of high energy, new guard, passion, raw emotion, and brashness. He represents an openness to anyone and everyone, not a goofy old uptown club.....the Saints are finally much bigger than this.

Forget Archie and Bobby (and Bobby has spewed some foul shite about our organization and city after he left the Saints) and nobody should be getting CROWNED anything, other than Brees and Payton

Finally a thread with other Manning Haters.
To be clear I have no problem with him wanting Peyton to win it is exactly what I would expect from any father.
Archie was the beloved face of the lovable losers because he was a loser. He didn't make his team better or the people around him. I cannot wait until Drew Brees finally emerges as the one and only great Saints QB.

Archie isn't my favorite former Saint by any means, especially since he's such an avid Ole Miss guy, and would never allow any of his kids to come to LSU. In that sense, he's no friend of mine.

Hebert ditched the Saints and sat out the entire 1990 season in attempt to squeeze out more money after compiling a stellar 15 TDs and 15 INTs. Then he signed with the Falcons.
Now, somehow this drunken buffoon is the face of the New Orleans
Bingo..Ppl forget about Bobby sitting out.

I still hold a grudge against Bobby for going to the Falcons and Archie ended his career as a Viking after one season with the hated Oilers.
I blame Archie for a lot of the mediocrity in the Saints' history. He was a likeable guy and most people didn't get too mad when the team lost because they could see that Archie was out there trying his darndest and, well, sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way. Losing became acceptable as long as Archie was out there and then it became an expectation. Then, after a few years of a lucrative broadcasting career covering the Saints, Archie steered Peyton away from the Saints.
In the pregame show, Terry Bradshaw talked about what a big Saints fan he was and how he wished he was drafted by the Saints. He was clearly moved and sincere.
F Bobby, F Archie; Crown Terry, a guy who never played a down for the Saints but always uses a national platform to talk up the team.

What difference does that make. You do know the SAINTS have a lot of supporters/ticket holders in Mississippi and Alabama??? Sheesh

True. At one time he wanted to own part of the SAINTS to help keep them in Louisiana.

Bobby gave two front teeth for the Saints.
What did Archie ever give?
