Sports figures are like sports, and its a what have you done for me lately type of game.

If Archie isn't with us he is AGAINST US!!

Since Peyton was drafted 10 years ago we have needed a new face of the francise, and we just have had a void. I think Bobby fills it nicely

I realize you're just stirring the shite, but I'm sick of this anti-Archie crap and I'm tired of Hebert getting a free ride b/c he's a drunken coonass. I will NEVER forget him going to our most hated rival.

Preach it. Hebert ditched the Saints and sat out the entire 1990 season in attempt to squeeze out more money after compiling a stellar 15 TDs and 15 INTs. Then he signed with the Falcons.

Now, somehow this drunken buffoon is the face of the New Orleans Saints all because he sounds like a fricking trailer trash rat from the West Bank on the radio?

Archie was a great college QB - average pro (even on bad teams) and is gonna pull for his son to beat his old team. I get that. I don't like the Mannnings because of their hatred of LSU.

I have no problem with Archie pulling for Peyton I get that.

BUT No one should have a problem with me no longer supporting a colts fan when we are about to play the colts in the super bowl

It's difficult for me to hammer Archie for supporting his kid over his team. I'd honestly have to question the character of the man who did in his position. That being said, I'm a much bigger supporter of Bobby Hebert, and Archie isn't my favorite former Saint by any means, especially since he's such an avid Ole Miss guy, and would never allow any of his kids to come to LSU. In that sense, he's no friend of mine.

Do you think we can say that Bobbys good years were the start of the turn around for this org? Then again, the Dome Patrol was prob more responsible for most of those wins than Bobby.

This. I am not upset that Archie is pulling for the Colts. But that doesn't mean he isn't da frickin' enemy. I'm not upset and I don't think he's a traitor, but I don't see the point of sticking by and worshipping the Mannings when they are Indianapolis, New York, Tennessee, and Mississippi first and Louisiana last. Archie doesn't deserve to be the Saints crowned figure. Nor do I think he really cares to be.

He deserves it more than Hebert, but it's moot since at this point Mr Saint is Drew Brees

Archie Manning was a failure QB and vastly overrated. To say he played better for the Saints than Bobby Hebert did is absurd. Someone bring the statistics forth - then we can take a good look. Hebert was certainly more successful than Crabby pissy human Archie Manning.

Manning is and was always a prick. For one example, and I could name a few, I once saw him signing autographs at the grand opening of some dept store in the mall of Louisiana grand opening.

To say he was a bitter sour puss of a human being, totally graceless and unappreciative of the undeserved adulation given him, is an understatement.

Is it clear I don't like Archie Manning? I don't like the entire Manning clan actually - largely due to their stupidity in their arrogant book towards that trainer. Their asses got sued and good for the trainer Payton's puss arse slandered. To hell with the Mannings.

For what - being a sour puss miserable jerk at a autograph signing - nah - his total lack of a personality is punishment enough.

The average blue collar Saints' fan loves Bobby Hebert because he personifies them in so many ways.

Drunk, sophomoric, honest, die-hard, degenerate(ish), loyal, says crazy shite all the time...

Not that there's anything wrong with that

Who do you think Hebert would pull for if he had a son playing for the Colts?

Archie was a great college QB but one of the most overrated NFL QBs ever. I think people overlooked his deficiencies as a NFL QB because he seemed like a good guy.
