Before 2003, I would have said Tigers National Champioship. But now...Go Saints Go!

Tigers National Championships, and it's not even close. I spent 4 1/2 years of my life at LSU not the Superdome.
I would trade the whole franchise for another MNC.

At the end of the day - the Saints is a Pro organization filled with Pro players with very little affiliation/even less loyalty to the team /city.
I go with the Tigers NC - even if it is the 7th in 7 years and the Saints are playing in the Superbowl for their first Title.

I completely agree - There is no comparison between School pride/support and following a pro team.

I'd like to have my cake and eat it too.

Tigers win NCG. Super bowl is kinda passe IMO. Of course, I am a college football fan and only watch the Saints in the NFL. Really don't care about the league as a whole.

After winning 2 national titles in the last 7 years, I'd rather the saints get a few super bowl titles, and if the cost of that is LSU going 0-12 for a few seasons in a row, i'm cool with that.

Since I went to LSU its more of a part of me, definitely Tigers MNC. I could understand wanting the saints super bowl if u were from LA and didnt go to LSU though.

Well, gee, since we really only have one to choose from at this time, go Saints.

Hands down, LSU National Championship.
I'm thrilled to see the Saints do well but I'm a Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams fan since 1967.
I've been a bit disenchanted with the NFL the last few years so I'd even say LSU National Championship over Rams Super Bowl win.

you would have been right twice before 2003

I will say this. I cherish LSU's national championships a lot more than a super bowl win but if the Saints win I can die a happy man with 2 MNC's and a Super Bowl win. Whooop.

Assuming you're talking about right now for the Saints and 2010 for LSU, gotta go with the Tigers. Wife and I have degrees from USC and LSU (she's about 7 months from a Ph.D. from LSU), but we hate 'SC as much as we love LSU.
Yeah, it would be great if the Saints and LSU could both win, but a BCS title less than a year from now? Miles would be Coach of the Century to pull that off. I don't recall anyone here predicting that LSU could win it all. Then again, show of hands: how many people know anyone that said the Saints would win their first 13 games?
The miserable Ranters will be all over this thread soon...wonder what they'll have to say? Jarrett Lee would have as many rings as Saban. Oh, the humanity!!!
