Keep in mind NFL players come from the college level. The level you're claiming players only play for the love of the school, sport, chapionships, etc. So these players all of a sudden stop playing for love of the game and just $$$ once they get drafted. Doesn't make sense to me.

Obviously you have your Reggie Bush, Joe McKnight types who are in it for the money from beginning to end. But my point is that the huge, gigantic, vast majority of college players know they will never play pro ball, but bust their arse anyway.

The NFL caliber kids are not the norm; they are the exception. And the NFL is literally full of that type of person.

Other than being an LSU alum, I have no ties to the football team.

I have been a season ticket holder for 9 years for LSU basketball and was born in New Orleans. My allegiences are Saints football and LSU basketball.

Saints.

Saints have better fans. If LSU had been as horrible as the Saints have been over the last 40 years, there would be zero LSU Fans. Saints have managed to have a passionate fan base throughout the losing and it has grown in leaps and bounds in the Sean Payton Era.

Although I agree that LSU is more important, I wouldn't trade the entire Saints franchice for only ONE MNC. I would have to see a few MNCs and a couple more CWS victories before I would completely throw out the Saints.

Saints Super Bowl championship, since I've been a fan of them for longer than I've been a fan of Tech. I DO put a lot more into Tech than I do the Saints, buuuut yeah, I've waited my whole life for the Saints to win the Super Bowl.

That's a pretty weak analogy. The better one would be LSU vs. New Orleans.

Doesn't matter anyway. LSU won't be winning the West any time soon--might put up a good fight for 2nd place though. The Saints actually have a chance to win it all.

I'm waiting for someone to say that they'd take a win over Alabama over the Saints winning a Super Bowl.
