Was sadly still smoking at 9 p.m. Good news - they're insured and promise to reopen.

Doesnt Dan Claitor actually own the complex?

If he's rebuilding, you think he's going to lease it to the Caterie again?

You think the Caterie can pay rent for a new building?

The Caterie is a pretty popular bar, so i imagine the owner still has a good chance. Then again, he could relocate during the reconstruction and never move back.

I imagine businesses and investor groups with political ties will be the new tenants. Politically appointed officials like Murphy Painter will take it easy on them as long as they play ball.

Sad to see, the Caterie likely saw more fake ID's than the Iraq-Pakistan border crossing.
What is really sad is the other businesses that went down too, reason one to never put your business in the same building as a restaurant with fryers.

Hopefully the firehoses washed the urine smell out of the place.

From what I understand the fire didn't start in the kitchen.

I just walked up there. They are still pouring water on the place. Looks like the structure is burning in the back area, closer to Acadian.

I liked the Dagwood sandwich.

I think Bob Claitor (his dad) owns the complex.
