In Atlanta the rumor is Chavis has expressed interest in UGA DC job and is not that happy in Baton Rouge. Has any one heard anything about this?

I think he wants to be able to throw his hat in the stands on a consistent basis.

Chavis defense - the players are in position and are pretty disciplined.
Not very good on 3rd and long and it drove me nuts watching it this year.

Overall though, pretty pleased with what Chavis brought to the table. Not the attacking defenses we saw under Saban but personnel did not allow that this year. Hopefully over time we get more pressure.

Uga won't pay him what we pay him and I really wouldn't care if he did leave. Don't like watching teams consistantly convert 2nd or 3rd and long.
Would rather a team be 3rd snd 2 than 3rd and 15 with Chavis here.

What part of the Atlanta are you in? I haven't heard anything about this.

But I agree with the poster that said if he wanted to go its fine, watching on 3rd and long was brutal this year..

He deserves a chance to get that DL turned around. If we would have gotten any pressure from the DL the 3rd and Longs may not have turned into 3rd and Chavis.

Once again 3rd and short didn't bother me near as bad as 3rd and long. We just couldn't ever get to the qb.

We did fine against the run but god help us next year against brantley and mallet esp if mallet lives up to his potential.

I think chavis would be a loss. LSU did not lose too many games this year due to Defense. Also, a lot needed to be cleaned up after the last years Co-Coord debacle.

Would like to see some pressure and kept hoping to eventually see Alem learn to play containment at end instead of just rushing the passed

I agree, I am not by any means calling for him to leave, I want him to stay, I was just saying if he did leave I'm not going to be tore up about it.

Chavis turned our bottom dwelling D from last year into one of the tops in the not only the SEC but in the Nation.
