New Take:
Tyke-We wanted him, he was worried the NFL would have a lockout or something pretty soon and he was a little worried about that so back to the NCAA ranks sounded good, I guess he had a change of heart

Crowton-I don't think is quite as for sure as I thought. Miles has definitely talked to possible candidates, but there is talk around LSU that it might be too expensive to buy him out at this point. That is out of Miles hand I believe. We will see what happens.

I dont care who the OC is at LSU..Somehow someway the OC and the Head Coach has to be on the same page.. Its not only in the play calling and just personnel on the field..Even recruiting philosophy...We have too many kids on this roster fit for one scheme, and the other half fit for another..

Find a philosophy that works for u, hire a coordinator that will do it, and recruit towards it, enough of this stuff.

Talk about throwing cold water. With Crowton still at LSU nest year, Its sounding more and more like Gerry Dinardo Keeping Tepper. im still hoping for an OC change.

As stated before, Crowton will be to Miles what Tepper was to Dinardo...
BUT... if this is true

That is out of Miles hand I believe
then even if the end up with a bottom of the barrel offense next year and finish with 3-5 losses, Miles can say "Well, I wanted to get rid of my OC last year and you wouldn't let me."...

offense ranked 110th out of 120 in the country...

I wish I could suck at my job and still keep it.

he needs to give some of his check up and get a godamn OC in here next year. These great hires will be wasted when his arse is on the hot seat again next year.

I just got a news alert text message from ESPN that says he is still headed to LSU.

BP vs ESPN - It's on!

Very short-sighted thought process imo. It will cost LSU more long-term to not replace him.

Then we should forget about being an elite program. It's the familiar ol' saw "a million dollar appetite but a hot dog budget." Bama, Texas, ND, UF, UGa or Tenn would not bat an eye at that price if it meant correcting an insufferable problem. Make no mistake, Crowton is insufferable.
If we suck offensively in 2010 it will cost LSU plenty in terms of declining interest, attendance and eventually in recruiting.

TAF's fault. They are the reason Miles has a rediculous contract.

Is TAF trying to get a money hat going for their greed? Because if so...its working. I'm in, anyone else up to pitch the fund to buy Crowton out?

So BP is saying that Crowton's buyout is too much to handle at this time??

Are you kidding? Man that is a cheap arse attitude.
