Meerkat style getting off half the plays he did in 2007
Flynn knew the plays better. He could run the offense. There wold be no need for the constant meerkatting. You seem to have selective memory as well. 2007 was LSU's most potent offensive year in history. That can happen when your QB runs the offense well.

flynn's play against Arky and UK directly led to our losses
I think the 513 total yards we gave up to Arkansas had a lot more to do with the loss.
Flynn was 22 of 47 with 3 TDs and 0 INT's
Against Kentucky LSU gave up 375 total yards. Flynn was 17 of 35 for 130 yards and 1 TD and 1 INT....not great but this is similar numbers for JJ

I would love to say that this flame attempt is beneath you, but it's really not.
For those that can't figure it out, Slowflowpro is so bent out of shape that people used to argue for Matt Flynn over Jamarcus Russell and he will never get over it. Even when Jamarcus finally showed in 2006 that he was the better QB, he can't let it go.
This Flynn vs. Jefferson argument is just another way for Sloflo to downgrade Matt Flynn, and has nothing to do with his liking of Jordan Jefferson.

Flynn couldn't have beat Ark in 2007 unless he could play on the D line.
if we convert our early opportunies and get 2-3 TDs that arky gift-wrapped, we win that game running away
flynn had 209 yards on FORTY SEVEN attempts against arky

yeah, he had a bad game, but at some point the Defense should be called out for allowing 43 points to KY.

But LSU's overall stats were way better.
we had a running game in 2007

meerkating is just another wrinkle crowton wanted to add this year. it's common with spread teams

2009- LSU played 3 ranked teams
2007- LSU played 6 ranked teams, 8 if you count the SECCG and NC.

While the defense did become very mediocred towards the end of that season, it should be noted they only gave up 27 in regulation in both that and the Arky game

sub-50%
FOR TWO HUNDRED AND NINE YARDS
47 throws, 209 yards

50% competion rate for 5 ypa and 1:1 TD:INT is not JJ numbers

what is so funny? Did MF play every down as QB? Did RP not contribute and make plays at key times?
People have selective memory about MF. He was good...not great. Don't laugh because I think that JJ would have flourished more in that environment than the current environment.
Again...try to imagine MF playing behind our O-line, no RP to back him up, Meerkat style getting off half the plays he did in 2007. How would his numbers look then?
LSU has too many 3 and outs due to delay of game penalties because JJ can't read defenses or check into the right defense.
LSU has had more black QBs start than any team in SEC last 15 yrs. Tyler,Davey,Randle,Russell, and JJ.
JJ needs to improve his grasp of the game and his throwing motion. His long stride makes him 6' instead of 6'5."

Jake none of these people are going to put any actual thought into this. Most of these idiots still think that Flynn was better than Jamarcus "because he won a ship". You do have an interesting point though, and it's something I hadn't really considered until now.
I also like how the validity of my joke was attacked, yet I've seen multiple people in this thread claiming how much more intelligent Flynn was. I wonder how they came to that conclusion. Hmmm

Arky had weak passing game and UK was weak period. Offense scored enough to win.
When your team scored 27,did your coach feel that was enough to win?

Flynn completed a 65 yard TD to Jacob Hester that got called back for..... wait for it......illegal procedure (not enough men on the line of scrimmage).
It's a good thing we've fixed that since 2007.

people don't understand how bad 209 yards on 47 attempts really is
along with 2 completion rates in the 50% range
and our D gave up 452 yards to Bama, let UF run for 4.0 ypc, and 426 yards against Ole Miss

Against Arky, that's not enough to win, against UK, it should have been.

I don't mind you making your case about QB stats and such, but as far as the race comments...I didn't make any.
I'm like Stephen Colbert...I don't see color. I know JJ is black, but that's only because people tell me he is. Same with JL...I assume he's white.
