Ole Miss dominated LSU on Saturday...

Yes, and this is the real issue. the end of the game stuff is just a side show and an embarassment.

Anyone still willing to say how great the OLinemen are playing? Hebert almost got knocked into the back judge on the first drive.

Exactly. And all the re-bandwagoners and blind sheep will continue to ignore the truth and instead fool themselves into thinking luck is actually a strategy.

Players also made mistakes that were not because of the coaching they received. Everyone deserves blame in that game.

You go ahead and throw the players under the bus.
I am focusing attention where it belongs. Coaching didn't put LSU in an opportunity to win that game at the end. The talent and effort from the players did along with a good bit of luck. Then the coaches flushed it away, like the did the whole game.

Yes, this is true. At least it is calling attention to Les' ineptitude. He lost some die-hard defenders on Saturday. Reality is that LSU is now a middle of the pack SEC program again.

Agreed 100% and this has been somewhat forgotten because of the debacle at the end of regulation. The scoreboard didn't reflect the true domination that took place on Saturday. Ole Miss was clearly the better team for the second consecutive year.

I am just saying everyone has some fault in the game. I am not trying to single out players it is just everyone could have done better. LSU got dominated everywhere, but the scoreboard.

I'll agree to disagree. Much like every game LSU has played, perception isn't always reality.
Ole Miss dominated the statistics, they speak for themselves. But, as usual, the D tightened up once OM got inside the 30 or so.
Then I hear about he "Lucky" plays. Which one was that. An onside kick, where the opponent knew it was coming and their player decided to watch it go by. That's not luck.
Or a blocked FG where a heads up play by Shepard who chose to attack the one man for OM who had a chance at the ball, rather than trying to recover it himself.
The beautiful pass that JJ hit RR with to close it to 2.
The clear block in the back that OM did against JJ which brought back the Int for a TD.

Yes but my argument is if you play that way over the long term you're going to be an average team...like say 7-8 in the conference over two years. If you leave it up to a coin flip again and again mean revision is going to occur. Personally I think our program has the resources to be better that this. Just my opinion. Maybe you feel differently which is fine.

Powe got a great jump on that snap (like he was close to being offsides good). Hebert had no chance.

We didn't run the ball well and there were dropped passes. Jefferson took sacks when he should have thrown some away.
The defense definitely missed some tackles and blew some coverages.
The point is we can blame the coaches for everything or realize everyone could have done better.
I am not denying the coaches were frick ups.

LSU has lost to Ole Miss two straight years. Barely beat Missippi State this year. Face it, that's not the mark of a team on the upswing. It's a sign of things to come. It's a shame but that's where we are heading. Sign all the best recruiting classes in the world each year and need a goal line stand to beat Mississippi State and keep losing to Ole Miss.... what a waste of talent.

This happens in one game it's on the players it happens in 11 straight games it's on the staff. I understand that the coaches are not on the field play but it is their job to get the players to play well.

LSU football this year has been utterly disappointing.
Having the Saints to watch after LSU has been a mixed bag. On one hand, I love that 1 of my teams is preparing and executing and efforting so well. On the other hand, it reminds me of how deplorable LSU's preparation, execution and effort has been.
Like a friend from Michigan asked - has he simply forgotten how to coach? I really do not have an answer for that.
