Miles didn't have a plan for the next move after Tolliver caught the ball because he didn't have faith or confidence in Jefferson making it happen in the first place.

He should have had jefferson take a knee then.

The part that pisses me off is not that we didn't have the field goal team on for the final second...there is no way in hell that we get that unit lined up and ball snapped by the time the official puts it in play. There is NO WAY WE GET THAT KICK OFF.
What pisses me off is why are we fricking calling a pass play when we are already in position to kick a 48/49 yard field goal. HAND THE BALL OFF TO RIDLEY GOD DAMNIT. Come on crowton, my two year old daughter knows that. Crowton is just a clueless as Miles and should be catching just as much heat for that call.

I honestly think that there wasn't a play called for after the Toliver catch because that was the Hail Mary moment.. that play WAS the last play-- win or loose.
Not that I agree with it, but that's what happened, not that Miles was expecting them to not complete it.
AGAIN!
This was NOT the poorest of poor decisions on the night!!! this game was LOST when they let GC or whomever did it call the 2nd fade for the 2 point conversion and AGAIN lost when whomever ( supposedly GC) called for JJ to EVER drop back and pass from the 32!! THAT WAS THE DUMBEST THING....

THIS +100000.
The final second was irrelevant. We lost the game the second Crowton called a pass of first down.
Miles even said after the game that they thought about runs and didn't want to turn it over, yet they called 3 incomprhenesible pass plays. Truly pathetic.

if you don't practice those situations you don't know what to do. he inferred he thought jj could throw it in the endzone....how does a HC not know his QB can throw it that far or not?...very simple, it is never practiced. he thought jj could throw it in the endzone...it never entered his dumb mind to have another play because he felt that that was the last play

i agree. ridley up the middle was a no brainer. unbelievable.

And AGAIN on second, right???????

They showed the replay of the sack that JJ took on 2nd down from JJ's viewpoint (i.e. camera angle was viewing what JJ was viewing) and I swear that all the receivers caught in the frame were all running post routes 20 yards downfield. Why???? If you are going to pass it in that situation (and it is obvious that you should not)...then have Dickson run a 8yd hook or something like that.

not only did crowton call for passes, there were never short crossing route, dump offs, check downs, nothing to give jj an outlet. i dont remember if it was first, or second down, but all 4 wr's did fly patterns. wtf??
do the batteries in miles' headste work?? how does he not overrule?

EXACTLY!! He had already chalked it up as a loss.

He had to throw the ball EARLY. He was about to get sacked. JJ can throw it to the end zone.

dude, 27 frickING SECONDS lapsed from the time TT hit the ground after making the catch and the clock started again. you mean to tell me the FG unit could not get on the field and lined up in 27 seconds??? CBS even replayed and reviewed the the freaking hail mary during this timespan!

The game wasn't lost on the spike play. It was lost when our idiot head coach let 17 seconds run off the clock before he called the fricking time out. Or when we decided to try 3 fricking pass plays from the 32 instead of running the ball and setting up the field goal.

27 seconds after the TT catch to set up a....spike.....
Letting 17 seconds tick off after 3rd down....
Play calling on the 30....
Take your pick. Miles lost this one for LSU, and turned us into the laughing stock of the nation. He's certainly creating a new image for LSU football.
Not to mention, throughout the entire game, we played poorly and underachieved, AGAIN....

You got your facts wrong homey. It was 4th and 26 with NINE seconds left..not 26.
You are thinking of the 3rd down clock when JJ got sacked...we let 17 seconds run by without calling a timeout.

Noooo, that could not be the case. After all, Les said after the game that he was trusting his QB to win the game for him.
Just another example of the B.S. Les was feeding the public to explain away the unexplainable.

this is my BIGGEST issue... THE BIGGEST! Miles has to be accountable for the fact that Crowton has failed miserably with the O this whole year.. and yet he apparently lets the Whizzer call that crap when the game could be tied up and then potentially won....
He should have over ridden those dismal play calls
maybe he DOES read the rant, and was worried about the posts early this and last last season with everyone seeing the playcard in his hand or something??

hand off to ridely up the middle on third down and we steal this game from Ole Miss. It really is that simple.
It's like Crowton tries to get to cute and fancy with his play calling. Keiland Williams is averaging 5yds a rush and he only gets 10 fricking carries the whole fricking game b/c you want to call all these crazy looking formations and pass plays to show what genius you are. UNBELIEVABLE. Your rb is averaging 5yds a carry and we desperately need to keep our offense on the field b/c our D is tired as shite from going 3 n out...and he only gets 10 carries?????
Bye Bye Crowton - you dipshit.

And Jefferson standing back like a mall cop looking for guy with 10 yards between him and the DB and then calling a screen play.
