so I would also nominate Houston Nutt as our next head coach.

Seriously?

I'm sure Ole Miss fans would LOVE for LSU to take Nutt away.

Yes - this season. 8-2 with 2 to play, Top 10 ranking in both BCS and AP. What exactly is your problem?

As it stands, the game Saturday is now for a Capital One Bowl berth.

Last week there was talk that LSU was a lock to go to the Capital One Bowl if they just beat La Tech, and split the last two games

LSU had great respect around the country earlier this season, but week after week we throw up lackluster performances (other than the Auburn, Tulane, Bama stretch). The pollsters are just waiting for a loss and we will plummet in the polls. Earlier projections had LSU to be a lock for the highest ranked SEC team not in the BCS at the end of the regular season even with one more loss. Now they feel that Ole Miss would pass us if they beat us, and take our spot in the Capital One Bowl.

Yeah, let's just ignore all the other horrific loses and subpar seasons and hire Nutt b/c he has beat LSU the past couple of years.

The argument is that we haven't shown up to play against anyone besides Alabama and Auburn, thats it. Thats what I challenged you on, to prove that we have shown up to play week in and week out... Am I wrong?

Well that would make Ole Miss 8-3, and LSU at 8-3, with Ole Miss winning the head-to-head, so I can see why Ole Miss would be ahead of LSU.

I really don't understand the point of this entire topic.

Again, b/c the earlier projection was that we'd beat Ole Miss and go to the Cap One.

Now the projection is Ole Miss will beat us, and go to the Cap One - which they would have all along if they'd have beaten us; even back when the pollsters were "impressed" with us

Which part of the BCS formula accounts for "showing up". Just win baby, win.

Can you prove that Saban's players showed up to play week in and week out? B/c I can prove that they didn't.

the perception of LSU around the country is that they aren't a good team.
I guess that's why we're ranked in the top 10 in every major poll.

These are projections and they are projecting us to drop another game b/c we can't get up for any games. Les does not prepare our team to play week in and week out and I will battle anyone who says he does. Who would like my challenge???

The argument is in bold, show me where he does prepare us to play week in and week out and I will stop

Would rather play a Big 12 team than a joke Big 10 team so Cotton is more attractive to me.

Weak minded, immature individuals like yourself are desperate to pull something out of thin air daily now.

Nothing has changed.

It amazes me that every day people are in such a "Les Miles Sucks no matter what" mood, that they will just post anything to try to discredit him.

I don't know what the average age for your ilk is but I can only hope you are all a bunch of young guys who have only been LSU fans for the last decade to be panicking over a coach with Les' track record.

Your whole premise is disproved by the one line in this article from the day before the Tech game.

Can't you Miles haters just wait for him to destroy the team before post this crap?

Just try to be an adult for another two weeks while the season plays out.

Yet we have been jumped or dropped in the polls like 5 times this year after winning games. We are a top 10 team that is an underdog to an unranked team, and I heard the line was moving up. That means that the people that make a living off of knowing sports are betting that an unranked team is better than a top 10 team.

Before asking what does it matter, I'll answer. It's perception. The bowls want the best teams that bring the most money. LSU is losing that moniker with each 3 and out on offense.
