Got it bought. Manny's my man. I want to see him get past Cotto then get a piece of Mayweather.

Cotto's about to beat Manny down. The speed Manny loses by bulking up negates his advantage.

I wish I could get into boxing, I just feel like I'm watching something rigged when I tune in. I guess the same can be said about all the sports I watch though.

I'm definitely watching.

um...where was his speed loss against DLH and Hatton?

The more legit question is: Will the energy Cotto may lose by dropping weight negate his advantage?

Pac is to fast and cotto is easy to hit.....If cotto can pressure pac and make it a physical inside fight his strength and weight advantage may be to much for cotto....I see pac jumping in and out throwing flurries cutting cotto up and the fight being stopped in the later rounds....

Cotto is VERY good...

But the Pac Man is one of the all time greats.

I'm not sold on Pacquiao as an all time great just yet. He's beating aged legends. Let's see what he does with Cotto. IMHO, Cotto has too much power and can box very well also. Manny's speed is no better than Mosely and Cotto fared well.

Delahoya and Hatton were aging punching bags. Neither had the punching power of Cotto or the ring presence. Cotto will walk him down the same way he beat Mosley. Jab and come foward. Left hook inside. Pac man is a great fighter but he has lost his drive. Too much stardom and not enough training. People are forgeting about the way Cotto destroyed Mosley, who is twice the fighter that Pacman is. (at welter weight)

I feel Cotto can get a KO but most probably close decision.

Cotto won by split decision. He won the first half of the fight (beating Mosley to the punch), but Mosley came on late. Cotto absolutely did not destroy him though.

But, other than that, I agree that Cotto wins a close, great fight tonight.

This fight doesnt seem to be getting the attention it deserves. This WILL be fight of the year. This is the first real "superfight" of the last couple of years. Despite what the media tells casual fans: Mayweather-Oscar, Oscar-Manny, Manny-Hatton, Mayweather-JMM were NOT superfights. This is a fight between two of the most entertaining, offensive fighters who are still in their primes and both top ranked.

The only reason why Manny is a 3-1 favorite is because Vegas knows the casual fan will bet Manny because of name recognition alone. But, in actuality, this fight should be an even pick-em as far as odds go.
