Never been to Brandt's or Maison Lacour. I hear them talked asbout on here often though. Is there a consensus on one being better than the other?

Also, does anyone have the name of that little restaurant next to The Cabin Restaurant on Gonzales? Kind of thinking of that place or Nottaway in White Castle as well. Any help or reviews on any of these places is appreciated.

Texas de Brazil. Classy, fun, a new experience. AWESOME FOOD! And it's in Perkins Rowe so you can have a nice little romantic walk if you want. Congrats on the anniversary.

Definitely no consensus on the Brandt's/Maison Lacour debate. I'm a huge fan of Maison Lacour, but Brandt's has its devoted proponents as well.

Perhaps you should also consider Latil's Landing at Houmas House Plantation.

I love Maison Lacour. But problem I've always had with it as a dinner date restaurant is that it's really bright inside at night. The place is fully lit like daylight. Every other dinner place on its level has the dim candlelight atmosphere as far as I know.

Might I suggest Houma's House in Burnside. The 20 minute drive is well worth it.

If you are willing to drive to Burnedettes (Cabin Restaurant) I would go a little further and hit Houmas House (about 3 minutes away).

Yeah, nothing says class and romance like a place where guys walk around with meat on a sword all night long.
Probably not a bad choice, but I would think there a much better places to get good service and have a much better romantic feel than this place.
