Saw on another board where some think it's Nelson or maybe Franklin, but there's no consensus.

Earlier in the season, Davis said he though LSU would be throwing the ball more.

Insider info: a friend of mine is Evan's cousin, and he says he's still excited about being a Tiger. My buddy is already making travel plans for next fall.

Doesn't Texas already have 4 or 5 receivers committed?

That seems like a strange rumor if Davis is the main target.

Why would he go from a school with one other commitment to a school with 5 other commitments , especially if he committed back in March.

If he switches, that really screws the staff over big time, and I am hoping it's just a case of Texas fans overestimating their desirability.

Because hes a Texas boy and they appear to be going to a NC? While LSU has shown very little sign of having a attractive offense for the future this year? Also, despite all those commits for Texas, I don't think it helps our case going for both Wright/Fobbs with him in a already unattractive offense.

Texas will be losing a 4 year starter at QB. I am sure he realizes there will be growing pains in the next 2 years.

Exactly. And there are 5 other receivers in the signing class.

Eh, not really.

Chris Jones & John Harris are future WRs sure. But Demarco Cobbs & Adrian Phillips have been recruited as athletes and they are more likely than not to end up on the other side of the ball. And Darius Terrell is going to be fill the Dan Buckner "flex" TE role.

So UT really only has 2 true WRs committed for Garrett Gilbert, national high school POY last season (I don't see any growing pains for UT; their offense will likely not miss a beat and continue to feature the pass).
