What are yours? Mine...
C - JR. Micah Gibbs
1B - JR. Kyle Koeneman
2B - SO. Tyler Hanover
SS - SO. Austin Nola
3B - SO. Grant Dozar
LF - JR. Leon Landry
CF - SO. Mikie Mahtook
RF - SR. Blake Dean
DH - rFR. Beau Didier
Weekend Rotation
1. JR. Anthony Ranaudo
2. JR. Austin Ross
3. JR. Daniel Bradshaw
Closer - JR. Chad Jones
Weekday Pitchers
1. SO. Chris Matulis
2. JR. Mitch Mormann
* Just guesses, I'm sure a few will be differenct than what I'm thinking, like the pitcher for instance as I don't think anyone knows what our rotations will be like 100% nor if Ott stays the closer or gets moved to another role.

So Matty Ott isn't the closer or a starter? You may want to rethink that one.

So you just left Ott out altogether then??
Not sure I see Dozar at 3rd has there been any indication of this move?

I'm thinking he'll be a long reliever on the weekend or even a utility pitcher.
He could start, be a long reliever or close. Although I'm still not sold on him being starting material.

I wish people would read my entire posts sometimes.

He will either start or close. There is a 0% chance of him ever being a long reliever at LSU.

Ott should be weekend starter I think. I like Chad Jones closing. I think Blake Dean plays left field because his arm is weak after all that arm trouble.

You gotta understand. If you open the gate, they'll still jump the fence to get at you.

I thought Dean was going to get the 1st base spot

I have no clue about the 3rd base or first base position

1st base is prob best place for Dean. Good point.

We read your entire post. All we are doing is giving our opinion where we think Ott will play.

I like the right hand of God to close until someone proves they can do it. Jones is a good option if he plays this year. I think Dean will be at first with Dishon in the outfield with the other two.

I'm thinking Mormann will take either the saturday or sunday slot
Posted on 10/22/09 at 11:42 am to thunderbird1100
I think Dean is going to be starting 1st baseman

I think Dean's fielding is more minimized at RF than 1B. There's probably a reason he never played in the field the first 3 seasons. Koeneman is a big bat and with him at 1st you can put another big bat like Didier or Gaudet at DH.
But Dishon/Dean/Koeneman wouldn't be bad either.

im thinking Dean will prob play LF
and i think by the end of the year Ott will be in the rotation, but starting the season as the closer. he's too valuable to be a long reliever to do anything else. He needs a defined role. The 2nd best pitcher on the staff.
Cant say i disagree with anything else.
though i wouldnt mind Mahtook playing RF and putting someone a little more stable in CF. Landry. They've talk about giving Watkins a shot out there unitl Dean is healthy as well.

I'm excited about Watkins, that would be a real leadoff hitter we are lacking. If Landry isn't producing, I def wouldn't mind him getting a shot in CF/RF

I also have a feeling Dozar isn't going to win the 3B job
