Combat Uniforms
Posted by Chuse on 11/26/10 at 12:13 pm
I just turned on the WV and PITT game and noticed they are wearing what it looks to be those combat uniforms from last year. Does anyone know if the nike schools are doing that again for the last week of the year again? And is LSU wearing our combat uniforms tomorrow? Have a nice weekend and geaux Tigers
Pulling for Jarrett Lee to Succeed
Posted by Chuse on 10/21/10 at 3:26 pm
I don't think I have ever pulled for a kid to succeed more than Jarrett Lee.
Everyone knows the 2008 story: He was thrown into the fire when he wasn't ready to play. He admits this on his own accord. He threw all the pick sixes and was booed off the field. yadi yadi yadi..... The offense was still pretty good that year might I add.
2009 story: He carries a clipboard all year as he watched the offense put some of the worst numbers we have seen in a while. However, he did't take advantage of his opportunity when he started a game for injured JJ. People said he should transfer because he was terrible and would never play here again. yadi yadi yadi.....
2010 story: The kid doesn't transfer. He works harder than he ever has in is life in the off-season. He loses some weight. He throws the ball with any receiver he can get to play catch with him. He studies film. He did in the off-season what most fans would hope every player on the team would do. Go beyond what is asked of you to make yourself better. He starts the season behind JJ, who I never thought was any good. You can look at previous post I have made about him. JJ plays worse than any QB I have ever seen play at LSU since I've been alive. Jarrett Lee finally gets his chance in the Tennessee game and leads us to the crazy win. He is the only reason we beat Florida(5 drives=4TDs). The offense looks way better when he plays, yet Miles still plays and starts JJ. I just don't get it!
The point of this whole rant I just went on is to say: after all this shite he has been through; from the fans casting him off, being told he wasn't good enough, and his coach obviously having little faith in him because he still won't let him start. He stuck around and is playing pretty good football if you ask me. I have the utmost respect for this kid's desire and character and I find myself pulling for this kid to succeed more than any athlete I have ever rooted for in my life.
Here is to you Jarrett Lee because we wouldn't be undefeated without you.

CptBengal, I wrote that last year. Someone brought it back up from last year.
A buddy of mine just sent me a text about someone bringing my post back up. Just read it again and laughed myself. I forgot all about the other stuff said after I posted it. I still think the post is pretty spot on! I havent graduated yet for the person who had to take another shot at me. No big deal. Not going to get into that stuff again. Looking back, I cant believe I took that shite serious. Hahaha. Hope this years turn out is better than last.

Said he should play LB along time ago and still believe it. Only way he plays in NFL is if he moves to LB

shite, he let 40 seconds run off the clock before half this year against georgia when we had the ball at the 50 yard line. Only reason no one talks about it is because we got lucky and won.
I just hate that he threw everyone under the bus after the game when it was all his fault. I hate that he dogged JJ out after when he did exactly what he was told to do. Hes lost his team for 2 years in a row and throwing players under the bus for your own mistake is terrible for recruiting. Hes gonna run this program into the ground.
To get a new coach?

Yes or No
If we had to lose to Arkansas and lose the bowl game for Les to get fired would you be be for it?

All white with yellow helmet would be my vote for a change. White helmet would look good too. I also like the white pants and helmet with purple jersey. The yellow jerseys should never be worn again.
We read your entire post. All we are doing is giving our opinion where we think Ott will play.
1st base is prob best place for Dean. Good point.
I have no clue about the 3rd base or first base position

Ott should be weekend starter I think. I like Chad Jones closing. I think Blake Dean plays left field because his arm is weak after all that arm trouble.
Looks like your boy Chuse was right

Baton Rouge, You Got What You Wanted.(Edit: wrote in 2009)

You got a QB who doesnt make mistakes.
I cant tell you how many times I heard last year from fans and so called experts is that "All LSU needs is a QB that doesnt make mistakes. They just need him to get the playmakers the ball and not lose the game."
You got a QB who rarely gets the playmakers the ball in stride so they can do something with it.
You also got a QB who doesnt make big plays.
You also got a QB who doesnt see wide open recievers running down the middle of the field. I dont know if yall have noticed, but Chris Mitchell would be having an All American start to the season if JJ would find him running wide open over the middle and not over throw him when he actually does see him wide open.
You also got a QB who only threw for around 240 yards against a Miss St. team who put 8 in the box all game to stop the run. I think he only completed like 13 passes for just over 50%. Completing 13 passes for just over 50% against 8 in the box is absolutely terrible.
Lastly, the offensive line and full backs cant block when its 7 on 8. I dont care how good they are or arent. And the running backs cant run when there is nowhere for them to go. All of this is directly related to the QB position.
I know we are 4-0. So, I dont want to hear all that shite about he is winning. Save it. We havent played anyone yet. We should have won all those games by a way greater margin.
I dont know who the answer is at QB. But, I do know it isnt JJ.
Once again, Baton Rouge, You got what you wanted.

would also like to see CBs in the nickle on obvious passing downs
re: What changes will Chavis make?

We need some speed at LB. We are terrible at covinging RBs out of backfield and they struggle even guarding tightends. And most teams are running more spread type offenses. Chad would be a great LB, We can have Coleman and Mccray at safety. Chad Jones doesnt come off the field either.
