Just saw on ESPN ticker. Will try to find a link.

Hope it's okay to put this on Tiger Rant instead of SEC rant.

Any idea if this was the same crew that did the LSU/Florida game?

They did the LSU/Georgia game, the one where the "refs" gave the game to us instead of us putting ourselves in position with a 40 yard kickoff return.

The LSU/Florida game was Hubert Owens' crew. Not the crew that was suspended.

the ESPN ticker said the SEC determined there wasn't enough video evidence to show those unsportsmanlike conduct penalties should have been called.

yes it was. no link just saw it on the ticker

ETA: The same group of officials called the LSU-Georgia game earlier this month, which included a late unsportsmanlike conduct penalty the league said shouldn’t have been called.

check the linky provided by the head guy in charge.

Ga. also tried to get cute on that free kick, and got flagged for an additional 5 yds. for that new rule which requires at least 4 players on either side of the kicker. And they kicked to Holiday who ripped the return as you noted. The refs had nothing to do with those 2 mistakes.

The one thing I can't figure out is which LSU player drew the 15-yarder (which the media never seems to mention) after Scott's TD. Was it Scott or LaFell (after the 2-pt. conversion)? Even the LSU site had Scott (in the re-cap) and LaFell (in the revised play-by-play). Anyone know?
Thanks.

That also means they'll be working on three-day's rest. Great...

I hope the trainers pack plenty of vaseline for our boys to take it painlessly...

I'm wondering if by this suspension the SEC is insinuating an inexcusable pro-Florida bias in those officials?

My jaw is going to hit the floor the first time I see Riley Cooper called for offensive pass interference.

This is an exercise in insanity. Why would anyone believe this crew will improve by getting suspended for two weeks? What will actually occur is that two teams will get an incompetent crew on Nov. 14.

what kind of punishment is this? it is a vacation- why not suspend them for the rest of the season?

or break up the crew so they do not work together again?

This is about publicity and CYA for the SEC

Gee, I kinda like this crew. By making calls which "favor" Florida and LSU, they are setting up a rematch in the SEC Championship game. No one has said they made a pro-Bama call. That must be why they were suspended.
