lee is thrown on the scrap heap for giving it his all his freshman season. Hell, he wasnt' that bad.
ALl the JJ supporters keep defending him by his youth. (and i don't argue against that - that is a fact ) BUT, he hasn't thrown interceptions CAUSE HE WON'T THROW THE DAMN FOOTBALL!
JJ back to pass on 3rd and 10. He hits lafell for 2 yards.
JJ back to pass on 3rd and 8 - 3 yards to tolliver.
JJ back to pass on any down - he jumps, he jukes, he jives - he's down for a sack.
hell, i'm not ready to throw JJ on the scrap heap or bench him permanently. we need to try something!
Give Lee a few possessions. It is possible that JJ will not pan out.

If 16 picks and 7 pick 6's isn't bad then JJ is doing great.

at least lee wasn't afraid to throw the ball

yeah well, i believe with all the time invested in Lee last year he deserves another shot, at least try him out to give JJ a break to see what is happening. problem is Lee threw 7 pick sixes last year. It took LSU QB's ten years prior to that to throw for 7 pick sixes combined. People are worried about playing him but we will never know. give him a try. see if he can read the d.

Jefferson has a much better D to protect him. Yes, Lee made mistakes as a freshman. But he was being asked to win games with the offense since the defense couldnt stop an old lady from crossing the street if they wanted to. Now the D can be relied on to make stops, but we cant move the ball. Lets see what Lee can do if you ask me.

allright - if we lose 5 games this year - do you still want JJ for QB. Cause if we lose 4 or 5, it won't be the defenses fault.

Yeah, Tulane and Troy games were some tall orders to fill. Thank god he was there to lead us back against troy.

Sometimes ints are worth the risk if you are moving the offense and scoring points. If you go 3 and out every time its just as bad as throwing an INT mainly because the field position will always be stacked against you..
Now that the defense is improved throwing an INT occasionally but scoring points isnt nearly as bad as not scoring but keeping the ball so you can punt.

What Lee did last year is just that.....LAST YEAR. We need a good assessment of his current ability, and we do not have that. Miles/Crowton dropping the ball again.
Same can be said for Shep's ability to throw/run the offense and Lonergan at OC.

Oh Heeeeeeeellllllllllllll No, he ain't scared to throw it. He actually made some great passes but all of those went unnoticed.
Remember the long ball late in the Auburn game for a TD. I thought he was good but young.

I have no problem with the second chance, but it WAS that bad last season w/ Lee and I don't think we should forget that.

The one pick i saw JJ throw last year he chased the guy down and was in the picture when the guy went down. I challenge you to show one freeze frame with Lee anywhere in the picture on any one of the 16 picks he threw.
