He mention this several time, but he said we are one of the few Defense that can match up against Florida speed. He mention it several times, do you think he was on the money or was trying to hype up the game more?

I believe it was when rainey was trying to stretch out our defense by running side to side but sheppard or Riley went up in there to stop him. He still go some yardage.

if you watched the game, you'd know he was on the money.

Lots of people on here don't like him for some reason, but he is one of the best, if not the best analyst in college football.

The defensive backfield, plus Coleman and Sheppard definitely have enough speed.

Realistically, this defense is a good defensive line away from being pretty stout. They'll show up from time to time, but they get pushed around a lot more than they should be.

he also said uf's defensive line is game changing lsu's isn't. i thought lsu's defense played fast and hard but uf just out punched y'all with a very vanilla gameplan.

Danielson gets a lot of grief. but i am always impressed by his observations. he does his homework and is very astute.

What he probably wanted to say was that our DBs (mainly PP) saved at least 5 plays from possibly being TDs.

Teams with less athletic DBs that play Florida give up TDs or huge gains to Demps, Rainey, and James because they can't catch them.

He is right. You have to match speed with speed.

And the only TD Florida scored on us was a pass interference on the offensive player. If we had a decent zebra crew out there, the outcome could be different.

LSUs defensive plan was the best I've seen in a while. Perimter pursuit by our faster DBs on Demps/Rainey.

I really like GD. I think he's great. That being said, the thing that hurts most about the UF game is that we should've won that game. That's what stings the most cause the D played lights out and our offense couldn't score points for them. If I were a player on the defense, I'd be pretty pissed at the other half of the team.

Makes the lack of even a half decent offense in spite of the absurd talent in skill positions all the more painful.

This could have been a NC team.

For every good observation he makes he also makes about four stupid or pointless ones. There are worse color people on television, like Brian Baldinger... eghhhh.

I think Danielson pisses me off simply because he's associated with Verne Lundquist.

+1

I think he is a straight shooter on his analysis. He says stuff sometimes I don't want to hear about the Tigers, but all in all I agree, his analysis is right on, one of the best.

It's because he tells it like it is, and sometimes that doesn't involve blowing sunshine up our asses, so people get offended.

Idk. People said Fla would rip us too. Bama didn't even "ream" us last year with a horrible d. I think our linebackers can fill the gaps.

Danielson is pretty solid.
I like Verne, but don't love him.
Imagine Gary Danielson paired with Ron Franklin....
