I read in 225 dine... tony's ordered 1/2 a ton. I assume they still have some.

Does anyone know what smoked gator would taste like? Seems like it might be kind of rubbery?

What time will it be ready? Want to make sure I get there in time.

Goal is 12-1pm...
Hopefully the rain doesn't slow us down...we're going to be a few feet off the sidewalk tomorrow if the space permits...

Off The Hook might be a place to try.
Better call first, I talked to Jason yesterday evening and he said he's sold a lot more than he expected.

hey golfer, in the 225 dine it said tony's alligator was already tenderized but they reccomend marinating it overnight to help... just an fyi.
I would use probably use some lea & perrins, garlic powder, and lemon juice
sounds like it would work, never cooked gator myself

As long as it is tail/tenderized meat, you shouldn't have any problems with it. It won't be tough or anything like that. Most tail meat that is process is already tenderized.
Now it doesn't hurt to marinate it in milk or buttermilk and maybe a little seasoning. But it will taste fine eating it straight out the pack and won't have a strong or wild taste.
