My friend that went to that God awful cesspool in Ruston forwarded me this e-mail he recieved from Coach Dooley.
Dear Bulldog Fans,
On Wednesday, September 30th at 7:00 PM our team will face Hawaii before a nationally televised audience on ESPN2. The game will be brought to over 97 million homes, and the top ESPN broadcasting crew of Rece Davis, Mark May and Lou Holtz will be in Ruston on the campus of Louisiana Tech to announce the game. This will be the only football game played that night, and every sports fan around the country will tune in at some point during the broadcast.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our University and our athletic program to the community, the state, and most importantly the nation. COME TO THE GAME and pack Joe Aillet Stadium in a SEA OF RED! It is our chance to show the nation that the state of Louisiana is more than just one big name program. With over 66,000 living alumni and multitude of fans supporting the Bulldogs we have the foundation to make Louisiana Tech a nationally recognized University, and there is no greater window for that than ESPN.
Of course, I expect our team to do their part by competing with the kind of spirit, effort and aggressiveness that will represent you and this institution with dignity and class. I look forward to seeing you in the stadium this Wednesday night.
GO DAWGS!

1/3rd of their alumni are lsu fans though
other than that nothing wrong with the letter. too bad they dont realize no one is going to watch the game and no one cares about it outside of ruston

great letter. i hope the tech community responds and packs their stadium. it would be very discourages for the other fans, coaches and players if they don't. looks like a rare treat for them; hope they take advantage.

You are a jackass Louisianna Tech is a great school and has very devoted fans. I went to both Tech and LSU and had great experiences at both. FWIW Techs engineering program is far and away better than LSU. You need to shut up about things you have no idea about!

Funny, how obsessed you seem with them, though.
How did I know you'd be in this thread?

great letter - I had no idea the bulldogs were on espn on Wednesday night.
Sounds like a great opportunity to see Louisiana football talent
as for an overprivileged arse pointing a finger from a hilltop in Dallas, TX and refering to Ruston as a cesspool - go frick yourself
or contact me - I'll drop in at gerald ford stadium (not our president) and help you - Southern Methodist is an alma mater

This is a fallacy. Tech doesn't offer some engineering specialties such as Petroleum Engineering which is a top profession for our state. I've met many Tech engineering graduates and on the whole haven't been overly impressed. Tech can't compete with LSU on any level, athletic or academic.

Tech is going to beat LSU in Tiger Stadium this year. So I wouldn't be laughing too hard.

Great letter from a good young coach. Even if you are a Tiger fan, you have to work really hard to find fault with him simply encouraging his fabnbase to fill the stadium.
Good luck to LA. Tech on Wednesday night. Geaux Bulldogs!

I think it would be funny as shite if LSU fans showed up wearing Purple and Gold and took over the stadium, chanting LSU druing the game.
