First things first, the pizza was average. Not bad, but doesn't really stand out.

Now to the experience. I will refer to the hostess as Waitress #2 (you'll see why) and our, um, main waitress as Waitress #1. Their dialogue will be in italics.

We walk in.

Waitress #2: Ya'll can have a seat here (next to a large group). Wait, I feel bad, is this ok?

Sure, we say. (wait 10 minutes for a waitress)

Waitress #1: Can I get you some refreshments? An appetizer? (as she bounces back and forth, getting into personal space)

We order two unsweet teas and 6 buffalo wings. She leaves, then comes back.

Waitress #1: Dude, we're all out of wings....I'm sorry, I know how you feel, you really wanted them didn't you? (yes, I did, thanks for rubbing it in) Do you want some garlic cheesy bread? Probably not, its a lot of bread and will probably fill you up. (she runs off at this point)

Waitress #1 returns: I'm gonna light your candle...I love candles! (our candle was never lit)

Waitress #2 appears: I'll go ahead and get your order. (We look at her confused) Just tell the other waitress I went ahead and took it. (we both order pizzas) Ok, this won't be long, its only pizzas! (no shite, we just ordered two pizzas, we are aware that they are only pizzas)

Waitress #1 returns: Whoa, you guys look confused. Did someone take your order? (yes, we say...the other woman...she runs off, literally)

Waitress #1 goes to large table next to us taking orders (someone orders meatball poboy): Ok, meatball poboy....we have napkins (guy looks confused). I'm just saying, it is messy.....its good, but it is really messy.

Waitress #1 brings cheesy bread to large group: (Woman at table asks if pans are hot) Yes, ma'am. (Woman asks that she move the hot pans away from the 4 toddlers sitting at the table)

We get our pizzas and eat. While eating, I watch a couple come in and be told they would be seated shortly. Two minutes later, a family of four walks in and is immediately seated. The couple sitting down gets up seemingly perturbed...and with good reason.

Johnny appears: $3.00 of our outstanding buffet! (he throws us a couple of coupons that expire on Thursday)

Thanks, Johnny!

We finish our food and I nearly shite myself, run to the bathroom and find the TP rolling around on the floor with a broken TP holder on the wall. The TP is soaking wet. Then I see the automatic paper towel dispenser empty with a soaking wet roll of paper towels on top of it. I say screw it and end up blowing up CC's down the road.

Waitress #1: Are you guys interested in desert, yeah your full. (ok, she returns with bill explaining she charged us for cokes, but not to worry it is the same price as tea. She returns with comment card)

If you don't mind, could you fill this out to let us know how we did? Was the food good? (She then balls up her fist and puts it in my 8 month pregnant wife's face. Not knowing to laugh or backhand her, I try to figure it out. Evidently she was pretending to hold a microphone)

TigerBabe and I signed the card slip and got the hell out of there. I left out some other strange occurrences, but my fingers are tired.

DRUG TESTING.

Fock.

Doubt I'll be back, it stressed me out.

first mistake, we give about 5-7 minutes for our server to greet us and get our drink orders. After that we walk out

It was very near that point, but then I would have missed the show that came with dinner.

Johnny's = dingy waitresses trying to be cute. Gotcha.

Could've just said the bathroom was dirty, didn't need your intimate details. I was eating.

Unfortunately, a lot of stupid waitresses/waiters do this kind of stuff. I once had a waitress pour hot coffee into a mug on a tray that was hovering over my kid's head.

Uh, ok. I'll make a note that you are grossed out by the mention of "wet paper towels" or "wet TP".

I will also refrain from posting while you are eating.

(just messing with you)

She was on drugs...and far from cute. There isn't a doubt in my mind.

It was hilarous. We left and I couldn't stop laughing. Best date ever...

One thing that bothered me was that the online menu didn't match what was there. I had my order all picked out and I didn't get any of what I wanted!

And Johnny literally threw the coupons on our table and ran while yelling about 3.00 off. When we saw the expiration date, I almost fell out of my chair. I spent the entire dinner laughing at the W.E.I.R.D circumstances that went on.

And now you have something to add to your awesome (or awesomely bad) restaurant experiences!

I haven't been there, but I'll remember to order "to go" if I decide I want to try it.

His place hasnt been the same since the move.. I loved the old place and havent been enticed to go back to the new location.. The pizza seemed better.. It was by far the best in BR.

On a diff note I ate at Tower of Pizza in NOLA this week and was VERY underwhelmed.. Johnny D's when they are on is much much better NY style pizza.

Johnny D on a bad day blows away Johnny's. Sorry, but true. I've had both many times.

Ha! I have too and couldn't disagree more. But this isn't another (well deserved) Johnny's thread.

That experience is as hilarious as it is terrible.

i went a few weeks ago and had maybe the worst experience with a server, EVER.

she mumbled, forgot some food (which she said was the kitchens fault, but we were staring at it the whole time on the warmer...she just forgot to grab it), brought my meal out 20 minutes before my husbands, and got his order wrong. then we waited another 15 for the bill and another 10 for her to pick it up to run the card. never offered refills or more napkins. she also brought my small pizza and tried to put it on one of those racks directly in front of my 2yr old. any movement would have knocked it off. i let her have it on the comment card...so bad that i doubt it ever got back to the boss. i dont know if she's still there or not, but her name started with an "n".

Sounds like my 1 and only dinner experience with them except it was @ the old location. I love their food, but I only go for the buffet now.

I've never been all that impressed with Johnny's. The food is good, not great-- but really, where is there any better pizza in the area? It always bothered me that the pizzas on the buffet just sat there on a table (not on a hot buffet line, like most places) and got cold and flimsy really quick... not sure if that has changed since they moved to the new location. Service has always been subpar.

johnny DESPERATELY needs a manager to run the place ... his business has increased exponentially since he moved and he's just straight up in over his head .. he's sitting on a gold mine and just has no idea how to prospect it ..

Agreed, but do you think his personality would allow one? He seems pretty hands on.
