I think it was pretty common knowledge that ole Houston Nutt folded under high expectations. His best weapon has always been anonymity.

Those expectations are the reason Ole Miss lost last night. They played tight, coached even tighter, and have a "L" now because of it.

Example: Ole Miss had the ball ot its own 40 yard line. 3rd and 7, and down by 6 points. They picked up 6 1/2 yards. They decided to punt with about 6 minutes left in the game. Most other times Houston Nutt goes for that 4th down conversion.

I'm not putting Ole Miss on Florida's level, but this is essentially the same thing that happened to UF last year when Ole Miss beat them.

They will now be playing loose on offense, flying to the ball on defense, and Houston Nutt will now call plays like he has nothing to lose...because he has nothing to lose.

LSU's first goal is to win the SEC West and make it to Atlanta. Any Western division foe that loses to the Eastern division is good for LSU's chances of getting to Atlanta.

any time a western opponent goes down to an eastern opponent it's good for LSU

They can still win the SEC despite this loss though. They control their own destiny and still have something to play for.

One loss does not delete a season. OM still has a lot to play for and their schedule is such that with a good run, they can be right back in the thick of things.

I'd argue that they could be even tighter because they do not want the, usually, dreaded second loss that would surely take them out of the equation.

I hear what you saying....Nutt does cut loose in situations like this.

The SEC always seems to beat up on itself....I heard the announcers stating after the game " Old miss should fall in the polls to 20 or something"

Ole Myth will play us like it's the NCCG no matter what happens along the way.

They looked like liquid shite last night except for their D line in the 2nd half.

That's a huge flaw with this board. there should be no post to anyone. Just replies. If someone wants to reply directly, a quote will do nicely. I post on about 10 or so boards, and this is the only one where I have to be careful where I hit the reply button. It's really a dumb concept.
