I would have loved to witness the fan meltdown on BOL.com with Bama only up 7 points at the half to FIU. Surprised there haven't' been some thread posts on here yet.

I think the fact is that Guilbeau doesn't like LSU FANS. All this time I thought it was Miles that he couldn't stand. Maybe that is still the case, but if LSU fans say that LSU is great, Guilbeau says the opposite. If we complain, he says that we are good and we don't know what we are talking about.

Basically, whichever position the LSU fanbase takes, Guilbeau takes the opposite.

Which means that I don't know if he is right right now or not. As was said earlier, he just comes up with a contrarian position to be controversial. I hope that he is right here, but his past history does nothing to cause me to trust him at all. Heck, he was complaining about our team the year we won the national championship (2007).

I do think that we have a lot of potential and that the first two weeks were not as bad as everyone claimed, though.

This time, doing so is a self serving bonus for him, because 1) he gets to remind us he picked the Tigers to win the WS in baseball and 2) it gives him a rare chance to be contrarian AND support the football team. This gives him a bit of credibility for evenhandedness he does not deserve.
Besides, he deserves a break. I have never seen man as heartbroken by unrequited love as GG has been since Nick Saban left.
