Perhaps I am exhibiting a subconscious bias but between Locker and Sarkisian it isn't too far fetched to think that the Huskies, who have lost 15 straight games, will go to a bowl game this season.

Maybe that's wishful thinking but it would certainly make LSU fans feel better about last Saturday.

What do you think?

My sister and brother-in-law who both went to UW, said they played better on Saturday than they have in a long time. I'd say they have a chance.

Jake Locker is back, their offense is great all around, they have a great coach, and the Pac 10 is so bad. I think they get 6, maybe even 7 or 8 wins.

Barring injuries they can pull off 7 wins I think. Maybe 6. I won't be shocked if they do not though..

washington is a solid team when locker was hurt and after contro versial loss to byu last year team completely folded under willingham and losing a rivalry game apple cup to wsu one of the worst 1a teams ever. i think wsu lost to nicholls state last year maybe ricky blanton was qb.

Maybe they aren't, and maybe LSU fans like to fabricate absurd excuses for the performance of the team in an effort to mask the reality of the situation.

Bet they beat USC. USC will be coming off a big win over Ohio State. Sark. and polk know usc very well.

OR maybe its like Ole Miss going from 0-8 in conference wins to 9-4 last year overall record last year. Who knows at this point, but I expect that we will see a significantly improved UW team this year.

They are a good team with enough talent to win 4 or 5 games this year, maybe more. By the end of the season we will all be saying we beat a pretty good team.

I think Washington is much better than the 0 for 12 team that played last year. I also believe that LSU did not play a well as it could have. But for goodness sake it was the first game of the year and we won. Washington also did not play as well as it could have. Having a great QB makes all the difference. Look what happened to the mighty OU when Bradford went down. Locker is the real deal and will carry them to at least 6 wins and at least one upset. I am hoping that is USC. Their coaching staff is also amazing. Washington played with heart, and I do not see the going away.

Will reserve judgment on the SC game till after this weekend. SC got off to a very slow start against SJSU...a quality opponent may have beaten them. At this point, I think UW has a chance at the upset.

USC always seems to falter in the conference road opener, and Sark knows us inside and out so that is scary. Our strength is the O line and our stable of running backs. Sark and co. will probably sell out to stop the run just as they did with LSU, and try to force Barkley to beat us with his arm.

If our O line is healthy though, I dont know if there is a better unit in the country.

On the other side of the ball, we know Sark very well also, and I believe Jake will have trouble moving the chains against us. The D line is going to have to play well again and generate that pressure, but I believe they can do it.

It is nice to be able to look at another PAC 10 foe and think "Man, that is going to be a tough game!" though. Before it is all said and done I believe we win that game, but I think y'all know now that the Huskies arent the type of Dawgs to just roll over and take a whoopin. They have a little fight in them.
