I have been saying that to peeps all day in the three different threads that were up today. The weather reports here actually change on a daily basis leading up to a 5 day forecast. Thats why we don't trust or even pay attention to them.

Geauxtiga you got it right. Messy conditions, high winds, crazy stuff is what any underdog wants.

For example negate the passing game let them load the box to stop the run. We get a couple of key fumbles due to mud and slop. They capitalize on the turnovers. Maybe a corner falling down and a easy td for the underdog.

Of course things could turn just as easily for us as for them. But that is the sort of stuff that the underdog wants since they would rather risk losing worse to gain a possible long shot win.

THERE WON'T BE ANY frickING MUD BECAUSE THEY HAVE FIELD TURF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but people aren't thinking here. The rain won't matter except to make the ball a little wet when throwing. I'm sure they'll keep a relatively dry ball in the game. MAYBE...MAYBE a DB slips, but that's about it.

Advantage Washington

Rain is relatively neutral here. Conventional wisdom is that the running game is the primary beneficiary of foul weather, but there are more fumbles in wet weather.

Likewise, the passing game is supposed to be hurt, but at the same time DBs and LBs slip and slide as they try to make cover and make plays in the open field.

Certainly both teams are accustomed to rain. It's not the same as, say Arizona playing a wet weather team in the rain.

In rainy conditions, the team with a better running game has the advantage.

I bet most of the people who are bitching about the rain are not even going to Washington.

The rain in washington is not like rain in louisiana. In washington you can stand out side for like 10 hours before you even get wet.
