What's your favorite brand and blend of choice?
How many cups would you say you drink a day, and are there specific times you drink coffee?
My mom's side is French and we always grew up drinking coffee in the mornings of course, but had to have that 3:00 coffee in the afternoon as well. Any of you do this?
I'm a Community Dark Roast drinker, but will drink River Road Coffee Creole blend at work too. Not too bad at all really. I'm about a six cup a day guy.

Community is my absolute favorite. Dunkin Donuts is pretty good too.
I have two cups first thing in the am. Anything after that would keep me awake at night.

A buddy of mine told me about Mello Joy Coffee out of Lafayette today. Said it's really good stuff, and they have a flavor with pecans in it too. Ever tried it?

I haven't tried it...but I'm sufficiently intrigued.

Myself..
I'd like to taste that.

I was a huge Community Coffee drinker but over the past couple of years gradually switched to River Road. It's very smooth.
I drink a 5-cup pot every morning and then usually don't drink anymore the rest of the day.
There's a long story behind Mello Joy but I don't think it's local anymore. It's pretty good but I don't think it's truly local.

My mainstay coffee is whole bean 8 O'Clock Colombian. It's inexpensive, widely available, and very good.

my daily coffee is Peet's Major Dickason's blend; i wouldn't say it is my favorite but it is a solid coffee.

Depends--
work from home: 4-5 cups
work at the office: 2-3 cups (although, i just put a coffee pot in my office so this might go up...)
my normal day is to have two cups in the morning and a third cup mid-afternoon.

i love a mid-afternoon cup of coffee. around 3, i start to get tired and lose focus; a cup helps finish the day.

i love Community Dark and NO blends; that was all i drank when i lived in Louisiana and that is all my parents still drink. i didn't have it available in the last two places i've lived (other than mail order), so i got out of the habit. good coffee, though.

the best coffe i have ever tasted is this stuff from Guatemala called "el Cafetalito". Wish i could find out how to get my hands on some more of this stuff but the entire website is in spanish. I had this stuff every morning in Belize and brought a bag back home, but now i'm out. Before i had that stuff, River Roads Coffee Creole Roast (whole beans) was my favortie. I usually drink 1 big cup in the morning or another in the afternoon if i feel the need. FWIW, I always brew in the French Press!

Starbuck's... 4 shot espresso, 4 of those little white packets of sugar and a tablespoon of whole milk. Have it every morning at 7 am. I don't drink coffee the rest of the day. It would keep me up at night.

I had this stuff and it is fantastic! I think it's grown at high altitudes up in the mountains. I'm not sure of where to find it around here though.
I usually drink River Road Creole at home and CC Dark Roast at work.
3c/day.....2 in the am and 1 after lunch

Don't buy "brand name" coffee. Find a local place that roast beans on site and you will find a much higher quality coffee than anything a mass production company can offer. If you have to buy brand, Peets and Stump Town are pretty good.
Community is one step above Folgers....its just not that good.

agreed, 100%. I don't get the fascination about Community, I think it tastes pretty bad. If I'm drinking regular Joe then I go for CDM with chicory. But what I really like are the Latin American espressos that they started carrying in supermarkets with the wave of immigration after Katrina (at least that's the way I remember it). Examples: Llave, Pinchon, and Bustelo. Good stuff, strong, fragrant, kicks you like regular coffee does not.

I keep it simple. Community "Between" Roast.

i buy DD coffee and it brews up pretty tasty
i used to like starbucks verona; about the only coffee i can stand to drink there
i like cdm but only for special occassions; it gets old if i drink it every day
if i had the time, i'd grind my own beans and be OCD about it but i dont so i dont
my moms makes a great friggin' pot of folgers..i cant do it but i love going home and waking up to the smell of her folgers coffee

I took a glance at the website, it only lists kiosk locations in Guatemala where you can buy it. Considering no one is selling it on ebay or Amazon either, I wonder if it's not available in stores.
If I drink coffee locally, it's always Community (CC's).
Like it's rum and tobacco products, Cuba produces some of the best coffee in the world. I like La Estrella del Norte, though it's mellow, and a number of Americans order it online from Canada.
If I make Cafe Cubano espresso-style, I always go for dark roast Bustelo. You can find it at most Latin grocery stores, or sometimes Albertsons. I usually grind it fresh, and make Cuban coffee black with no milk.
