I'm actually excited about the 1st Preseason Game!

Just to see some football. Man this time of year really blows... Sept can't get here soon enough!!!!!!!

I actually love preseason football. Not that it signals that the season is about to start, but I like see no-names play for a roster spot. You usually see some guys getting really intense.
ETA: And, Meachem will probably own some poor secondary like he did with the Cards.

I'm too gunshy from all the injuries last year... and I'm really nervous about Reggie's knee. Can't we just play the backups throughout the entire preseason?

He was SCARY good at the start of last season and dominated the TampaBay game. Reggies knees are very important. And I hope it doesnt effect his play, because whether anybody thinks so or not...Reggie makes the offense so much better. He has abilities that nobody else in the league has.

I'd be ok with the undrafted guys and Bell running in the preseason.

I think it is necessary for Brees and the WRs to get preseason snaps just to get their timing down, but RBs are a different story. The less wear and tear on a RB the better IMO.
However, I believe the DEF #1s will see a significant amout of preseason PT b/c of the new system/scheme and new DC. They need to get their assignments/roles down in time for the regular season.

Yeah I'm glad for both reasons but i wish I didn't have to see Joey Harrington in a Sainst uni taking snaps...we couldn't have signed Chase Daniel or Drew Willy?

Actualy the idea of limiting many of our star off. players is I think a good idea during the pre-season. Something besides PBR to think about. Good subject

I wonder if Carson Palmer will opt out of this year's pre-season game. Last year's was none too pretty for him.

eh.
i hope no one expects Williams to show his hand in preseason, i know there will be a ton of people here freaking out in a week when williams isn't blitzing all that much. hell, i expect us to have a vanilla approach for detroit as well. the saints should beat the shite out of them on sheer talent alone. after that, i expect williams to throw the kitchen sink at that young philly line.

I don't mind watching pre-season, but usually the games in the dome are really lame. You can hear crickets. I usually always end leaving at half time or thrid quarter. The only reason I don't end up staying home and watching it on TV is becasue my dad, who holds 6 season tickets, asks if my freinds and I wanna go and we usually just go shite faced and to the quarter right after.

Not really saying he will get creative in the preseason, but making sure the guys are familiar with the new scheme in general.
