Its not a perfect analogy. I'm just reaching for a way to say to the Barners that Reed to Auburn is not going to happen.

I think what is giving LSU fans a glimmer of hope is the interview with Luc talking about Chavis having a different approach to recruiting that he liked. Showing him the depth chart and where he fit in. Nice to hear but > 1% chance he leaves the state of Florida.

Yeah, I know...and I agree. It's just that the interest in AU is real, but I believe it is more about making sure that LSU is the right place, as opposed to it being about if AU is the right place.

None. Is there any such thing as "hard" evidence in recruiting?

Wouldn't that be like telling your fiance' "Yea I want to marry you, but I'm going to go date this other girl to make sure you're the one i want to marry"?
Per Reed himself, he brought all of his family members for approval of Auburn, not to make them feel good about LSU. If that was the mission it woulda made more sense to go an hour up the street instead of 7 hrs across several states. That's a long way to travel to show your family a school u dont want to attend.

BTW, LSU fans using the logic, Reed shouldnt go to Au cause it's far away is basically saying Lache shouldnt come to LSU since Texas is much closer than BR

I feel like you. That article was funny. Said Reed was giving LSU all of this 'lip service' but they didnt bother to quote any of it.
I also found it funny that the reporter basically said, "Trovon didnt say this, but i can read his mind and I've come to the conclusion that he would've said he was leaning towards LSU had I actually asked the question."
But the funniest was the comment about how UGA, Ole Miss, Bama and Texas were vying for Reed to commit to them when everybody knows those schools are nowhere on Reed's radar.
