All new Magnalite Pots are made in China. The original factory in Sidney, Ohio has been closed for some years. Someone bought the name and is now getting them produced in China. The current quality cannot come close to the original. If you want the "real thing" go to Ebay or garage sales.

Yeah, noticed that they were made in China. Not nearly as heavy as the old ones.

You can get the new ones at Walmart. That should tell you something. I've got the originals my mom handed down to me from back in the day. they are still great.
