Charles "I only rushed for 10 yards on 10 carries against Ole Miss" Scott should continue to be an overrated back on an overrated team. Why isn't QB uncertainty as big a problem for Alabama as LSU? Because Alabama hits teams in the mouth with the running game, and they don't let up. They don't fall behind by enough that passing becomes essential, and when they do, they have Julio Jones. I'm not certain McElroy will be good, but I think it's safe to say he'll play better than Jefferson in 2009 since he won't be asked to do nearly as much. Alabama will have a stingy, almost air-tight defense. Scoring against Alabama will be like birthing a child: rare, painful, and messy. If the Rebels can get into the endzone early and force a turnover or two, then I like their chances against Alabama. Otherwise, Alabama's an "L." Also, Alabama's coach is Nick Saban while LSU's is Les Miles. Miles is a buffoon. How do you win only 7 regular season games with the talent LSU had last season? Baffling.

I hate everything about Ole Miss. For those who consider Bama, Florida, or Auburn fans insufferable, you have never experienced the Webels when things are going their way.

I'll take the bait.
1) Would you really be worried if you were Ole Miss. Not only did Ole Miss win convincingly last year, but in 2006 when LSU didn't have freshman QB but the No. 1 pick in the draft, it took a a whirly-bird miracle of an escape by JR and catch by Early Doucet for LSU to escape with win at home. There, Ole Miss, we've said it: you're slightly better than MSU. There you go.
2) Chavis that good? Has this clown not been watching SEC football for the last 20 years. Where was Ole Miss when Chavis was sending handfuls of players to the NFL ever year. Yes, Chavis is that good. LSU will be far, far better on defense than they were last year.
3) That's true. For most of the year, LSU played its 3rd string QB going into the season, and played its 4th string QB, a true freshman for most of the game against Ole Miss. They weren't dominant against any conference team last year, but what would Ole Miss know about that anyway?
4) No sorry, the Peach Bowl win, however, was pure domination. WTF? Yeah, we threw in a fake punt at the end so what. They scored 50 million on Georgia and they had 3 points against LSU. Are you retarded? LSU has dominated Ole Miss for decades, but since our coach is a lazy buffoon we will probably take a "deceptively dominant" 38-3 victory over them this year.
5) Charles Scott overrated? Tell it to the NFL scouts. He pretty much ran right through Bama defense last year, going right up the middle.
6) Alabama doesn't fall behind enough to make passing matter? It's certainly understandable as to why an Ole Miss fan wouldn't watch The Sugar Bowl. But watch it sometime.
7) Scoring on Alabama like giving birth? Here's to octuplets in Tuscaloosa.
8) Miles a buffoon? Maybe. He sure did look like it when Ar-kansas came back to win that game last year. He looked like a coach who was wondering what he did wrong. The only difference between him and Saban who suffered a similar last-second road loss to the Hogs in 2004, was that Saban instinctively blamed his players. And Miles ran off the coaches who were responsible; whereas, Saban a self-proclaimed defensive backfield coach and overall genius could really only blame himself.

Give it to LSU O line, they gave pitiful effort vs OM in 2008, C. Scott had no chance that day. Having a legitimate passing attack would only have helped the situation. Let OM continue to believe they are on an upswing, reality may prove otherwise.

There was nothing deceptive about it. LSU dominated that game. The game was 35-3 at the half. We were nearly even on yards? Maybe that’s because LSU only gained 80 yards in the second half whole protecting a massive lead while GT gained 172 yards playing catch-up, and failing to score once. And, for the record, here are the seven GT turnovers:
FUMBLE in the 2nd quarter (14-3 LSU)
DOWNS in the 2nd quarter (21-3 LSU)
INTERCEPTION on the last play of the 2nd quarter (35-3 LSU)
DOWNS in the 3rd (twice)
DOWNS in the 4th
FUMBLE in the 4th
It’s not like LSU needed seven turnovers to build a massive lead. It really was only two. By the team they committed their third turnover on a worthless INT, the score was 35-3 and the game was essentially over. While I think we can read too much into one game, there is no way to state the Peach Bowl was deceptively dominant unless one completely misconstrues the stats of that game.

It really is amazing that some on here give that much attention to Rebs. They should get as much as they can from their ONE winning season is distant memory.

60 yard td pass called back cuz of bogus holding, and our offense screwing up when we had 1st and goal at the one.
People forget just how close we were to hanging half a hundred on these guys.
