I think UF already has us beaten out by a little bit to be honest. Simply because I think their 2nd NC team was better than our 2nd NC team. It sucks because I think our 06 team might have been the most talented team in the SEC this decade.

USC did not win 2 nat. champs. LSU did. USC is part of the BCS and thereby accepted their rules!

UF. Sorry!

LSU would have to win it all and then it would be them!

This question is not all that relevant at this point because there are a number of teams that will have legitimate claims depending on the outcome of this season. If FL, USC, Ohio St, LSU, TX or OK wins the BCS this year, that team will probably be claimed the team of the decade.

I think if UT wins this year, then they are in the discussion. I don't think the same can be said for OU. Their recent BCS troubles hurt their argument greatly. I really think if LSU, UF, or USC wins it this year, that team will have soul claim to team of the decade. If, let's say Penn St wins, I think you have to go with USC. They have 2 titles and pretty much a BCS birth every single season.

The one thing about USC is they are clearly the most consistant team since 2002. I don't buy the 2003 "championship," but 7 years in a row of finishing in the top 5 is pretty good.

3 teams have a claim: USC/LSU/UF

at this point, i give the nod to USC. they have everything you want in a team of the decade (national titles, heisman winners, consistent top 5 finishes, 1st rounders, all americans, etc.)

if uf wins it all, i give it to them.

if lsu wins it all, i give it to them.

currently, i think it is 1. USC 2. UF 3. LSU, but at the end of this season i think it will be 1. UF 2. USC 3. LSU

regardless, top 3 out of 119 teams aint bad

There are only two teams in the 'program of the decade' discussion and USC is not one of them. Its between LSU and UF and there are arguments for both sides. USC is a distant 3rd, if that, due to the ease of navigating their conference.
